ShoMMA 9: Rosario vs Mahe Quick Results; LowPick winners announced
Posted on July 24, 2010, 10:14 AM by Anton GurevichYoung gun Shane del Rosario proved his worth for the 10th time in his career, by defeating the more experienced Lolohea Mahe at the ShoMMA 9 main event. Mahe pressured Rosario during several occasions, but in the end it was Rosario who delivered a heavy knee that was followed by a sequence of fight-finishing strikes. Shane Del Rosario declared that he would love to fight the former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski, in a bout that could propel him right into the top of the Strikeforce HW division.
In the co-main event action of the night, Sarah Kaufman successfully defended her title against Roxanne Modafferi. Kaufman viciously slammed Modafferi in the end of the third round, in what could be easily added to the Slams Hall of Fame alongside Rampage Jackson and Gerald Harris. Kaufman's next title defense will be against the Dutch BJJ enthusiast Marloes Coenen, probably at long-anticipated November fight card.
