he may be getting old but he's still got that granite chin, the determination and the power. However i still think he lost to Dunham, Dunham was very strong on his feet and showed more versititly. Still Sherk is one hell of a b*tch to finish
I've never seen a fighter put himself in the "same" dangerous situation, over-and-over-again, as I did last night with Sherk and those attempted guillotines and then, get away with it. In my opinion Sherk was lucky, to do so.
More to the point - this is yet another decision victory and a dubious one at that, in a long line of decisions victories. First, th majority opinion suggest Dunham won the fight. A poll on Sherdog had ED winning the fight, by a 65% majority; based on (roughly) 4000 votes. The simple fact the poll was / is up, is indicative of how the decision was received, by the public.
Being able to avoid chokes is important - but solid victories and stoppages, are more important; and Sherk hasn't stopped anyone since 2005.
A suggestion to SS - focus more on being the "choker", then the "chokee". It's equally impressive, maybe even more so and (generally) better for the career.
so 5 td's that all led to sub attempts got him the win. oh and a 1st round cut that stopped bleeding. nice. Both guys have some short ****ing arms so there was no way Dunham was gonna get his arm around Sherk's neck. when he took the back and went for the choke I think he realized that. I think it was a shitty matchup, and if Sherk wants to start finishing fights, subs are the way to go

small recap of what he said:
I love mah roids, roids are mah bestest friend, yezz they are.
that sounded better in my brain, atleast i did it without roids.
this guy is a beast, Its good to see that guys like sherk and hughes can still hang with the best
nice to see the mucsle shark back in the octo and back to winning ways, altho i think he just squeezed the decisoon imo
hang with the best is a good description. He should have lost that fight.

That's an understatement
i just confirm what i always think about Sherk!
He Can't be Submit!!
lucky to other fighters he can be TKO or KO but still thats not an easy task! and Sherk beat Evan and open him a nice cut to remember it lol
