Rumor: Fedor Emelianenko could be on his way to the UFC?

According to various sources, "The Last Emperor" Fedor Emelianenko could be on his way to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, after his management renewed the negotiations with Dana White's promotion. The identity of Fedor Emelianenko's last opponent on his Strikeforce contract remains unknown, which is thought to be a cataclyst for the renewal of talks with the UFC.
Only a few days ago, Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion Alistair Overeem was also involved in an internet rumor regarding his future in the San Jose-based promotion. "The Demolition Man" was heavily linked with a move to the UFC after his Strikeforce contract expires, which was quickly labeled by Overeem himself as "not true".
Alistair Overeem recently declined Fedor Emelianenko's official challenge due to his K-1 WGP obligations, before stating on one of the Dutch MMA forums that he is willing to fight "The Last Emperor" after his quest for the K-1 title. Considering recovery time and preparations process, Overeem could be ready for February-March of 2011, relatively at the same time of Fabricio Werdum's forecasted return.
Fedor Emelianenko's last fight was on June 26th against Fabricio Werdum, who managed to defeat the iconic "Last Emperor" via a perfectly executed Armbar/Triangle Choke combination. Since then, fighters such as Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva, Sergei Kharitonov, Alistair Overeem, Dan Henderson and even King Mo had their names involved in speculations to square off against the 32-2 Emelianenko.

Fedor is with Strikeforce period. until his contract expired and the UFC officially sign Fedor i wont believe a word.

You're absolutly right abt "the hype machine" taking off every month or so,and those rumors are getting annoying.
But as far as the Strickeforce contract goes,the UFC or K-1 would buy that contract if its in their advantage to do so.
Man,I'd love to see Fedor in UFC tho!Hes still the same Fedor he was before Werdum,he just made a mistake!I'm not saying hes the best p4p,but he will destroy Werdum in a rematch;it wont even be funny...maybe it will!!!lol

Were did you read/heard about this rumour mate? Can you point out the source please? Wouldnt it be great if it was true? Would he fight at HW or would he consider a move to LHW...? Oh the possibilities ^^
Bad news for brock, cain, and any other heavies in the UFC if true. They will all be exposed by the big right or fedorbar(sine he has the best armbar in mma, who else armbars as soon as they hit their back and gets it nearly every time, not even maia, nog). I see brock getting KO'd, cain getting KO'd or submitted. PLEASE GIVE US BROCK FEDOR AND CAIN FEDOR. IF only Jew-1 global would dissapear.

@truthaboutmma - Wait a minute, are you talking about that right hand or armbar of Fedor Emeilianenko? Maybe you're talking about that right hand everyone saw tapping out when Fedor was submitted by Fabricio Werdum, the UFC washout, in 69 seconds of round #1 back in June.
If the UFC can add Fedor and Overeem to their HW roster then they can honestly say they have a deep HW division.
Personally, I am more interested in seeing Overeem make the transition at this point. I feel as tho I already know what will happen with Fedor, but that is just my own opinion. Besides, I am not sure how long Fedor plans to stick around. Of course, in a perfect world, I would love to see both guys join the UFC roster.

Imagine if they both go, not going to hold my breath, but imagine what that would do to the UFC HW division. Now if this happens you can say the HW division in the UFC will be the top. Again, the likely hood of this happening with fedor is always up in the air, but for Overeem it is more likely. Strikeforce would be in trouble.
Its never gonna happen, Fedor will never be in the UFC

If it happens then it's bad news for the HW division. I'm not going to say that Fedor will walk through the HW division of the UFC because there are a lot of great fighters there BUT if Fedor is looking to move cause he wants to fight someone then it means that he (Fedor) is motivated to fight before the end of the year. Question is who wants to face a motivated Last Emperor?
Most of the top guys like would fight Fedor no prob Cain, Brock, Carwin, Big Nog, Cro Cop, JDS Randy would too I hope that answers your question Fedor fan boy. Who wants to face a motivated Fedor ? I guess I have not followed Fedor's career enough since this is the first time I heard that he wants to move. Now I don't really give a flying F*&k why you chose Werdum and I never did ask anyone's opinion about Rodgers either and how he would fair against the HW of the UFC since the article is not about him (Rodgers). If you are pissed cause I asked that particular question then let me ask another one. Why did you spend time to answer a question that you did not really need to answer? Surely you could have done something else right? M-1 Global keeps starting these rumors because his contract with Strikeforce is almost over and they use this threat as a negotiation tactic.
Why would Fedor come to the UFC? Most of the world already thinks he is the best and he would only be putting that at risk.

I'm not saying they have ALL the best MMA fighters because they don't. They don't have Fedor or Gegard or Aoki or Aldo. But they do have GSP, Anderson, them HWs, BJ Penn, and Tito Ortiz. Accept it or not, the UFC is top right now.

Yeah, asked this myself to the OP (which his a moderator btw) but got no answer. Really hate when people come up with "news" and "rumors" with no source. Not saying this is the case but I have searched the internet for a reliable source and got nothing...
