Legendary MMA icon Royce Gracie, who was in Toronto for the UFC 129 Pre-Fight Press Conference, discusses rumors that he will compete one last time as part of the upcoming UFC event in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Gracie explains that while nothing is official at this time, he feels he has "one more fight left in him."  When asked about a potential opponent, the Brazilian admits he has someone in mind, but declines to specify who.

UFC 134: Rio is set to take place August 27th from the the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  The landmark card will be headlined by a Middleweight title fight between division Champion Anderson "The Spider" Silva and challenger Yushin "Thunder" Okami and will mark the promotion's first trip back to Brazil since 1998.

    No, you don't Royce.

Leave the sport of MMA alone now, please. You've done enough, especially with your arrogance.

Matt Hughes probably... that makes the most sense as that is the only one of the two losses he did not avenge yet..

No doubt about it, it's Matt Hughes. And if Royce has evolved somewhat, then maybe he has a fighting chance. Either way it goes it would be interesting to see.

He might do better against Hughes now that he's had some time to train against Matt's MMA style of wrestling and developed his standup a little bit more. He could also be looking to avenge Henzo's loss against BJ Penn.

However, if he wanted to have one more fight to go out with a bang and try to go out making the statement that his BJJ is better than anyone else's, I could see him going to Middleweight and calling out Maia. Would be interesting to see how that went.

Royce Gracie sullied the Gracie name several years ago when he fought Sakuraba at K-1 Dynamite U.S.A. and got a positive drug test for steroids which did nothing but blemish an impressive record of an largely under sized fighter who exploited grapplers weakness' towards submissions on the ground. Granted he did change the way fighters trained to incorporate submission based defense and offense from a ground position. If he were to fight at UFC Rio it would be both foolish and a wasted opportunity for a more deserving fighter currently climbing the ranks amongst the UFC roster.

    Honorable? ...When?

Does an honorable man talk s*** about another man who he lost to? And then proceed to insult his country?

Like Mike also stated below, Royce gave the Gracie name a black eye with his usage of PEDs. There is no recovering from that. The entire philosophy behind Gracie Jiu-Jitsu was skill over size/strength. If he were a man of honor then he would give up his Red Belt rank and apologize to the martial arts community.

Personally i have no interest in watching two past-prime athletes compete ... legends or not. Rather this this slot should have been filled with a competitive bout that had some bearing on the standings.

Don't see much difference in this fight and the Couture vs Toney fight ... just gimmicks that take up space and mean nothing.

Apparently (this is according to some articles), there wasn't enough judges to score the bout... yeaaa.

His 'draws' involving Shamrock, the Yoshida 'rematch' and Tokoro are bullshit. Lack of judging my ass.

I think it hilarious that it was never changed... but hey, I suppose there's a good reason behind it. I'm sure it has nothing to do with his last name *sarcasm*

hey like he says in the video, at the maracana, which seats 80,000 people in Brazil, royce's dad fought vale tudo in front of 70,000 people and 70 years ago. so i think he deserves a great deal of recognition. this kind of thing started off in his country, and brazilians are very proud, rightfully so.
