Had you watched the video, you would realize that's pretty much what he said.

He made the point that you can't jump into a new sport too soon. Just like he can't step into an elite MMA promotion without putting a lot of time into MMA, Jones wouldn't be an elite BJJ player unless he put a lot of time into it.

That's kinda what he said. The transition to either, from either would not get instant results no matter what your "ranking" may be. Don't take it to heart

I wonder how many of the comments put on any of the articles are based on solely reading the title?

And if they both were to transition to running I wouldn't expect them to win either. The question is: Why would they wanna do it? Why would they want to do running? Why Robert? I like your commitment to BJJ but if you compete in HW son, you are gonna get OWNED :/

If he means top level submission grappling then it goes without saying.

Jones would smash Roger Gracie in an MMA fight but would get put to sleep in submission grappling.

If Jon Jones can excel at MMA as fast as he did, then why the hell could he not excel in sub wrestling.

I don't even like Jon Jones, but this statement that has been made is ****ing ridiculous. I guess even world class athletes are haters at times.

After seeing him put Machida to sleep in seconds of securing a hold I would fancy Jones chances in pure Jitz.
