Rich Franklin: Fighting Forrest Griffin "won't be easy"

Forrest and I are both very tenacious fighters and both of us are very known for our cardio and our willingness to not quit. So I think that is going to make for an exciting fight. I like the match-up. For me, February is a good time for me to come back. Mentally, I'm in a good spot. I'll be ready to go by then. I know I'm going to come on top of my game, but I know its not going to be an easy fight either. So I'm not going to sit here and say anything about how I'm going to walk through Forrest or anything like that because I know it's not going to happen that way."
Griffin vs Franklin match-up is currently planned for UFC 126, which will take place on February 5that the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. Both Forrest Griffin and Rich Franklin are coming off a victory, and will look to solidify their place as top contenders in the UFC Light Heavyweight division.
Here's what's lined up for UFC 126:
Middleweight Championship bout: Anderson Silva (c) vs. Vitor Belfort
Light Heavyweight bout: Rich Franklin vs. Forrest Griffin
Light Heavyweight bout: Ryan Bader vs. Jon Jones
Welterweight bout: Jon Fitch vs. Jake Ellenberger
Bantamweight bout: Miguel Torres vs. Antonio Banuelos

Wow what a card, 2 fights prob will go to dec Fitch v Ellenberger with fitch getting the dec, and Griffen vs Franklin will prob go to dec, going with Franklin on that one.
Yes because he clearly has the skills to neutralize Fitch's wrestling... for at least 8 seconds.
Love to see the Spider move up to light Heavy where he actually belongs and fight dudes with the same size frame .. Jon Jones vs. The Spider would be electric.
I wouldn't say Silva belongs at LHW....he's the camp of the MW division so I would say thats where he belongs but ya it would be cool to see him fight more often at LHW
Funny thing is Silva beat both the lhw in the co main event.
You ever seen Silva stand next to Machida their is significant size diff between the two, and Machida is a solid sized lhw

Put on an Anderson Silva mask and Forrest will run around the cage like a sissy. Catch up to him and put him out, one weak jab will do.
I seem to remember Forrest coming forward that whole fight despite having his ass handed to him. There's a huge difference between getting outclassed and being a "sissy". Forrest is a former champ, and you are a disrespectful jackass.
Maybe he did push forward but I call him a sissy because he gave up that fight. He wanted to get out of it. Either he's a sissy or the fight was staged because Forrest is known for having a lot of heart and he had no heart in that fight.
Nonsense !!! Griffin is far from a sissy and he did not give up he just got his ass WHOOPED by Silva.. its as simple as that. He was outclassed, that was a horror match up for him period. His heart made him get up and get beat up some more throughout that short fight. Show the man some respect, Forrest always comes to fight and he never backs down for nobody. He took on fights in his career not many in the sport would. U better go check his record... Sonnen, Bonnar, Ortiz, Jardine, Rua, Rampage, Evans, Silva and you call the man a Sissy?? Please tell me who got a record like that.. u just embarrassed yourself with that comment man.
