Rashad Evans wants to face Jones, but picks Rampage to Win
Posted on September 23, 2011, 09:34 PM by Trent Reinsmith
UFC 135 is less than 24 hours away and while the oddsmakers have Quinton “Rampage” Jackson listed as the underdog in his bout against Jon Jones, there is one fighter that is picking Jackson to win, Rashad Evans.
Evans has knowledge of both fighters. The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion holds a unanimous decision victory over Jackson, defeating him at UFC 114. “Suga” was also a training partner of Jones’ at Jackson’s MMA and has stated that he beat Jones, the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, during training.
Evans is in line to face the winner of Saturday night’s fight and he went on record as saying, “I would rather fight Jon Jones. Because we have our issues and stuff, we had the whole situation with the Greg Jackson thing, and splitting up, so I’d like to fight him.” Evans then added, “I don’t really care who wins to be honest. I’ve got a feeling, I think Rampage is going to pull it off. I don’t know why, I’ve just got a feeling.” – for more go to MMAWeekly.com.

Wow good prediction Rashad!. Very well thought out, Great analysis. "I don’t know why, I’ve just got a feeling". Good thing he makes guest appearrances on MMA live. I can't wait for him to break down another fight.
Im feeling Rashad on this one... i'm a fan of both Bones and Rampage.. but can't bet against a motivated IN SHAPE Rampage... Bones is an amazing athlete.. but Rampage is a BEAST!! He can take Bones punches... i see him run through all the flashyness and "touch" Bones.... and it'll be Game-over! Mark my words..
Rampage hasn't knocked out anyone since 2008 and doesn't choose to wrestle or pick people up anymore. And whens the last time he has ran toward an opponent? From his last few fights, all I've seen is opponents take his punches and keep standing, then him walk forward and try it again. I HOPE your right though bra, I'd like to see Jones loose this one; what you described is exactly what Rampage would need, I just can't see him coming that far outta character, we will see supa soon tho.
I think Rampage knows what to do and he knows what Jones is expecting from him. To pull it off he needs to surprise Jones and show how well rounded he really is. Rampage is a lot more than just a boxer, it's just time for him to put it together again and show those skills off. If anything would motivate him to do that, it would be this fight. And about the slams... that shit don't work anymore in 2011 when people are fully aware of what u wanna do to them. They expect it and are more prepared now with many counters for it. It's very hard to pull that slam off now and easy to get caught in a nasty sub now that they know what to do, so it's really not worth the risk.
I can't f*cking WAIT for tonight !!
I saw the Bas interview too lol, and yea, this is rampages chance to prove he has more then he seems.
Jackson gives up 10 years and over a foot of reach to Jones...
I've "got a feeling" that Rashad is letting his dislike of Jones over rule his logic.
They should just make it a triple threat match.
aww shit looks like rashad is softing up to rampage!! who knows next they'll start playing COD with each other
Yeah, no bias from Hashad here ;)
What an idiot. He`s just next in line for a Jones Drubbing and he`s not really looking forward to it.
Maybe rampage is the real spy, and he went to rashad and asked about jones.
You guys are seriously cracked out thinking Jackson going to pull this out someway..."putting it all together". Rampage has never showed an array of skills in a fight. He brawls, pins you on the cage and slams you if he gets a chance. Are you kidding man....You think Jones is going to even allow him to do anything remotely close. You need to get off the pipe also. Rashad has been enemies with Rampage for years, and now their sparring partners. I will tell you that these two guys are depserate to find how to beat Jones. The only reason Rashad "has a feeling Jackson will win" is that he has already beat Jackson and knows he can do it again. Watch all the video interviews rashad talking out of his anus that he was going to knock Rampage out. Yeah yeah yeah...i heard that hype before many times...Rashad barely even exchanged with Rampage and then try to tske him down. of course rampage defended it many times but it wasnt enough to win by points. Both Rashad and jackson suck if you really think about it....
