Randy Couture predicts Matt Hamill to defeat Rampage Jackson at UFC 130
Posted on May 21, 2011, 07:04 AM by Anton GurevichUFC Hall of Famer Randy "The Natural" Couture shared his thoughts about next weekend's UFC 130 main event, picking Matt Hamill "to get the job done" against Quinton Jackson. According to Couture, Matt Hamill's wrestling skills will be the difference, although Rampage Jackson always has a chance to finish his opponent via a Knockout.

sorry Randy.....but I have to disagree........boom boom pow.
you know i been thinking that all week . sum times rampage is there . sum times he is not . i really do think rampage got a taste of the easy money making movies . it can ruin a guy quick .
Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Hamil beats Rampage. I don't think Hamil is at the top of the division but his wrestling is better. If he puts Rampage on his back he'll win the fight.
I like how I get marked as well because I went against Rampage - news flash this isn't pride and he's not motivated to fight, even if Rampage wins this fight he'll never be champion again.
* Weak
I agree with whitey. Hamill could possibly win and I wouldn't count him out but Rampage is a tough fight for anybody whether he is motivated or not. I'm sure he could knock out most LHW's just rolling out of bed.
I don't know If I feel comfortable taking advice from the guy who said he knew how to beat Machida and got his tooth knocked out...
Wow. That's messed up. Only because it's Randy haha. If it was anyone else I would probably laugh my ass off.
I agree that Rampage has the ability to hurt Hamill and end this easily; however, Rampage hasn't been the same for a long time and he isn't as hungry as he use to be. I can see why Randy would go with Hamill.
Rampage will win this if he's even 75% of what he was against Machida.
Hamill is too slow and he possesses little to no athleticism at all. Not to mention, Matt has mediocre striking with below average knock out power.
Sorry Couture, I know Hamill is your team mate but he's a dead man walking.
This fight is a lot closer than many of you think. Even if 100% Rampage shows up. What everyone is forgetting is the difficulty Rampage seems to have with wrestlers. He just cannot get into his fighting grove with them and the fights end up being dull relative to other fights he has had in his career. The way I see it, the Rashad Evans fight is not unlike the Matt Lindland or Dan Henderson fights in that Rampage wasn't truly able to dictate his style of fight against the wrestling pressure.
I feel an upset is very possible here. My prediction is that the Matt Hamill fight will be similar to the fights I mentioned. It will not be all that exciting of a fight, but not because the fighters are not working hard. Matt Hamill may very well grind out a close decision victory.
if Hamill had better leg kicks i think he might win and maybe soemthing hes been worknig on for this fight but from what i have seen of him so far i think Rampage will ko/tko him
hamils a great wrestler but i just cant see him man handeling Rampage
Randy Couture is a smart man.
