Rampage Jackson to his fans: Don't worry, I'm training hard for Jon JonesPosted on August 10, 2011, 06:43 AM by Anton Gurevich
Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jacksona addressed his fans (and only fans) via a personal video blog, promising to dethrone the reigning UFC 205 Champ Jon "Bones" Jones. The fight between Rampage and Jones will go down on September 24, 2011 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
It will be the first UFC event since UFC: Ultimate Ultimate, which took place on December 16th, back in 1995. The winner of Jones-Jackson bout will defend his title against "Suga" Rashad Evans, who secured his status as the #1 Contender by defeating Tito Ortiz in the main event of UFC 133 last weekend.
"I want all my fans to know - don't worry about a thing. I got this. Training hard. This is the hardest I've trained in a very long time. I'm taking it very very serious. Don't worry about all that stuff people saying out there. You guys don't worry about none. I just want you to tune in to the fight, staying positive, and see me winning this. I got this. You're going to see the best Rampage in a very long time."
