Before failing to make weight for his Shark Fights 13 bout against Jorge Masvidal, Paul Daley related to the way the Ultimate Fighting Championship handled his release from the promotion. Speaking via mmaweekly.com, here's what Paul Daley had to say:

"Dana White's character, I would have expected nothing less than getting kicked out of the UFC. He could have done it a little more gracefully and told me personally.

To this day I've still never heard nothing from Dana. With all the talk Dana gives and the attitude of being a big man that he is, he could have at least came to my face and said 'Paul, I don't respect what you did, I think you're an a------ or a jerk or whatever, you're not going to fight here again. But still to this day, I've had no phone call, no e-mail, no nothing, so that just goes to show the treatment I received having fought Kampmann at late notice, and fought co-main event on my second fight in the UFC, and done a bunch of media work for them in the U.K. There's some things I don't agree with, but I'm happy to move on.

The UFC is the UFC. It's like a secret society type club, there's a lot of favoritism going on and all kinds of s---."

Meanwhile, Paul Daley's arch nemesis Josh Koscheck discussed his "bad boy" persona, in an interview to mmafighting.com:

"Being loved or hated, ya know what? It's about making money for me," Koscheck said. "So if I've got to be the bad guy to make money, then I'll be the bad guy to make money. It's never bugged me, from day one. I know who I am as a person. I know the people around me know me. I'm not here to make friends – I'm here to make money. I have enough friends. The people around me care about me and love me, and it's the same relationship back. I'm not trying to make friends here. I'm here to make money. It's a business."

Finally, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Rashad Evans declared he will bee looking for nothing but a knockout against Shogun Rua. The fight between the two is expected to take place sometime in the beginning of 2011, due to Shogun recovering from a knee surgery. Evans refused to an idea of Interim Light Heavweight Title, saying he'll wait as long as neccessary to square off against the reigning Champ. Here's what 'Suga' said in an interview to mmavalor.com:

MMAValor: How are you planning on avoiding his striking and leg kicks?

RE .: I think I just have to go right at him.  I think I can’t try to move around too much or try to get away from him because he will find me, because he is a very aggressive striker.  So, I can be aggressive too.

MMAValor : Do you think there is a possibility for you to KO him and how do you think that can play out?

RE : Yeah, I think there’s a possibility for me to knock him out, I mean that is what I hope to do.  That’ll be great to knock him out.  That would be my aim to try to knock him out, but you know if I catch him or something it would probably be off his aggression.  I’ll see if I can capitalize on him coming in.

Yeah me too....Rashad said the same garbage about knocking Rampage out and we all knew his gameplan from the start. Its gonna be the same thing this time around too. Gonna do the jellyfish stance and sway his arms up and down and go for a takedown. Id have no problem with Rashad if he just said im gonna stick to my gameplan and hopefully wear him down and get a decision or a late tko. But he chooses to say hes gonna stand up and knock people out still haha. Thats also why i dislike Maynard, saying hes gonna knock someone out and he does the wrestling gameplan once again. Chael Sonnen on the other hand says Im gonna pick his ass up and toss him on the ground and punch the crap out of him, and guess what....he delivers. I just want fighters to be honest...especially when their gameplan is obvious

I think a lot of us would like fighters to be more honest but that isn't going to happen much. Some fighters try to use it as a strategy but we all know that most fighters stick to their strengths no matter what they say prefight. And stop with the Chael talk already DLS hahaha!

Rashad could definetely knock Shogun out. Rashad has vicsious power. He rocked Rampage with a punch, something we've rarely seen since his 2nd fight with Wanderlei, not to mention he ended Chuck's career with that right hand. I'd hate to see him ko Shogun, but it could happen.

And yes, I know Wanderlei knocked him out with knees, but it was set up by a huge right hook.

Yea man, watch the first Machida fight when they were grappling. Everytime Machida had Shogun on his back, he slipped out the side and went back to striking.

I hope he doesn't end up fighting too soon and damage it again. Where he is getting his knee repaired is probably 20 times better at specializing in knee surgeries and sports medicine. This might be the first time its ever been fixed properly.....will be interesting to see what happens.

First of all...Everyone who believes in Surga BS talk maybe should shoot themselves...He said the same crap on his last fight against Rampage.

I am a big fan of talking the truth...If your gonna take him down and wrestle, than go ahead...but dont talk shit and pussy out. Be a man and do what you say. i just hope Shogun team knows exactly what you are going to do....WRESTLE....keep him at a distance and when he shoots, knee his head off or so hard that his shoulder will dislocate. Then go vin for the kill....Shogun is smart...he knows a shit talker who cant back up... Even if Rashad wins, like he did against Rampage, he doesnt impress me....no stand up in my opinion...getting a luckiy KO here and there dont me crap....

I don't think Suga's skilled enough to keep Shogun on the ground if he gets him there. I don't think his footwork is good enough to get inside on Rua. If he's gonna rely on trying to be aggressive and catch him, I think the fight is gonna end with Rashad doing the bubble dance again.

Daley can say what he wants, the fact is that he his a very unprofessional fighter. Sucker punishing a guy and continuously missing the cut in weight only proves that. Dont know if the day the UFC dealed with that was the best but he clearly deserved the cut. I think he is a exciting fighter with some potential. Still, he has a lot to improve, his grappling and ground game need a lot of work if he wants to compete with the top welterweights out there...

As for Rashad Koing Shogun: as someone else said, its mostly talk, trying to conceal the fact that he will try to grind his way to victory. Rashad cant stay in the pocket and trade with a striker of Shoguns quality, he will get the same result he did with Machida. Rashad needs to go on the offensive, close the distance quickly and take him to the ground. I can see him win by points or TKO I suppose... But honestly, I see him loosing by KO thou...

Shogun is rarely at his best when returning from injury, so Evans has the best chance he'll ever get at beating him. If Rua is 90% of the Rua that beat Machida, I don't see how Evans wins other than by lucky punch, but depends what sort of Rua turns up.
