Quick Quote: Manny Pacquiao "I'm willing to try MMA"
Posted on September 4, 2010, 11:03 AM by bluntsandbeersBoxing Pound for Pound great Manny Pacquiao recently game a interview to Bill Emes and Michael Marley from boxingscene.com. The interview included alot of hot questions for Pacquiao right now, some questions including the chances of him trying Mixed Martial Arts.
in the interview, When he was asked if he would ever give Mixed Martial Arts a shot he responded: "I want to but they(promoters & Management) don't want me to fight" Paquiao later went on to say if his adviser Michael Koncz and promoter Bob Arum say it's ok, he will try it.
But after reading this article it was pretty hard to swallow. Its very hard to believe that Paquiao is serious, especially with him saying things like MMA is "too Brutal" in other interviews. Lets just hope this crazy little man finds himself in the cage one day. i Feel that Paquiao can be the man to save boxings image if he is to convert to Mixed Martial Arts.

Great another dumbass lookin' to get taught a lesson!
Stick to boxing !!!!
Pacquiao was also a kick boxer...
he would be stupid like toney was, he has much more work ethic and would probably go through a proper route into mma rather than rushing against a vet
idk if he can win, but he would definitely do better than Toney..i guess his performance depends on who he fights. But yea, he's got the speed and especially footwork to deal with takedown, i think. Rather than Toney's style which is basically to stand in front of you.
Im a Filipino and love MMA and Boxing but i dont think he should do it. If he wants to go into MMA I think he should take grappling lessons right now. And the right time for him to go into MMA is after he faces Mayweather
His promoters wont go for it. His image is too good to get Toney'd in front of everyone.
I think you may have just coined a new term. Getting "Toney'd" I think sounds kinda like MMA's equivalent to "pwned."
I think he can do well .. He knows Muay Thai .. he can learn grappling
can't punch what you can't hip escape
