Urijah Faber dropped Cruz more then once during their fight. Aldo mixes it up far more, and would kick Cruz's legs enough to slow him down quite significantly. Aldo via KO/TKO in round 3-5 easy.
i agree too hes such a vicious striker. This would be a closer fight then people think. Aldo has great ground people say but his takedown defense seems to be good not great so a great wrestler could take him down and i believe keep him there. So if cruz could be successful at that he could win. I pick aldo even in the complete standup game based on damage inflicted and his ability to sub
Aldo by far he throws heavy hands and serious leg kicks, as we saw in the Faber fight Cruz doesnt have the weakest of chins but dropped a couple times Aldo i believe will drop him in the drop round and put him to sleep!
Anton, how the **** was that a "dominant victory" over Urijah Faber? One judge very justifiably gave Faber two rounds, and giving him three wouildn't have been crazy. He dropped Cruz two or three times significantly, stuffed heaps of takedowns... that was an extremely close fight, no one was close to dominating anyone, that is insane.
For sure. I would give it to Cruz but he was also fortunate to survive never mind win the fight. There was a few times I believe if Faber kept coming it would have been the end. I felt Faber had better cardio too.
I agree. I would have scored it 48-47 for Cruz, but Faber clearly did more damage (look at their faces) and came closer to finishing with two knockdowns. Cruz never even sniffed a finish.
A "dominant victory" is what Aldo had over Faber... and it's what he would have over Cruz.

Dominick could out point Aldo but it would be very difficult
but after the Hominick fight i think Cruz could have a chance
with his wrestling bottom line 50/50 ...
I went with Aldo, just on the way they each dealt with Faber.

Aldo would just plow through Cruz like a boss
ALDO IS A BOSS!
yup, you're right. Without Aldo having to worry about takedowns like he did with Faber, he will run through Cruz. Just a bad matchup for him.
I really like Cruz, but I have to take Aldo in this one.

Cruz would defintly beat Aldo

i think aldo would give him a good beating!
i voted for aldo but cruz is a sick fighter so i wouldnt be suprised if he won this one
It's hard to imagine Cruz striking effectively after Aldo leg kicks away his erratic movement
