Why weak this? It's true. What? People dislike facts?

Velasquez is the more explosive and agile wrestler. He's not Carwin. And like I stated numerous times before the Lesnar bout, Cain's size does possess a great advantage in a fight where an opponent towers over him.

Now, does JDS have the Boxing advantage? Of course, but Velasquez isn't going to try to stand and trade with JDS. He'll trade a couple of jabs and hooks but nothing more. Velasquez possesses the best single leg takedown possibly in MMA.

This match up will be very interesting considering Cain will probably wait for the 4th round to completely explode.

Cain will win again. Cain throws far too many leg kicks and will dismantle Juniors ability to throw his lighting punches. Cain will score a combo and rock Junior and then rinse and repeat.

Junior wants to test his wrestling, well, Cain will be the guy to test against. He stopped a 280lb Brock Lesnar from taking him down at the start, stopping a 240lb "boxer" from taking him down will be cake.

Cain will be Champ for awhile. Overeem poses some interesting tests though.

i think alot of people (^) are overrating cains standup, he has good boxing dont get me wrong, but to say he will over whelm JDS on the feet is going a bit far imo. have you seen cain vs chek kongo? he got dropped several times. hes a freak athlete, but hes still a wrestler adapting to mma, he throws combos with his eyes closed, and doesnt have great defense. also jds is slightly bigger and has a reach advantage forsure. to say cain will go out there and beat dossantos in his area of mma is like saying dossantos will outwrestle and caontroll cain.

You mention some valid points and opinions, but saying a fighter did or didn't do something in a previous fight is disregarding their evolution as a fighter. Kongo throw some straight hits that nailed Cain sure, but Cain basically shook them off and pressed forward.

Now with the mindset of a fighter like Cain he only evolved because of that fight and will watch straight jabs and keep moving. Cain is the GSP of the HW division. He mixes it up and does enough to frustrate you and throw you out of your game.

JDS is a boxer and possesses a boxers mentality and a way to defeat a boxer is to make him think you are going to box and then do something entirely different and Cain's one to do this very well. He will use his leg kicks and transitions from punch to take down quicker than anyone JDS has faced previously, which will make JDS think.

And JDS stands in an uppercut-****ed position, he loves throwing them. A leg kick will prevent this from occurring and will also reduce his ability to throw those fast punches.

JDS is an amazing fighter, but Cain is on another level and as the fight game goes, anything can happen. JDS might fly in and do a spinning back fist and score a KO.

What would you say to someone who said that your comments exposed you as a typical Couch Fu expert?

Suggestion, Train and compete against guys weighing 120 kilos +. Work for years, fight and win the opposition to be one shot away from a title, dominate the first round and then decide to go in all guns blazing against the divisions heaviest puncher instead of using tight technical boxing to ensure a win and a potential KO.

Playing UFC on your computer is not the same as living the life of a martial artist. Your comment is nothing short of ridiculous.

Its so hard to tell; after tonight's performance of dominating an in-shape Carwin and not being really phased by any of his strikes, how well he did of getting back up (I know Cain's wrestling is a lot better than Carwin's) and how incredible his striking was. Cain was dropped 3 times by Kongo and I think it is quite obvious that Dos Santo's striking is leaps and bounds ahead of Kongo's.

To me this fight will most likely be decided by two questions:

Can Cain withstand Junior's hands? Especially within a 5 round fight where Carwin and Nelson would surely have been knocked out in an extra 2 rounds.

How much better is Cain's wrestling than Carwin's, even if it is miles ahead is it good enough to hold Junior down?

But if you noticed, Cain was dropped, but he was pushing forward even after being rocked and then scooped Kongo. I noticed that in the Lesnar fight too, Cain took some solid shots but still pushed forward and did his thing.

Cain is a beast and will walk through a tank if he had to. Carwin sort of gave up after that first dropped where Junior dropped him and start punching. I felt like I was watching the Brock fight for a moment there.

Cain can take JDS to the ground any time and wan't get tired. Carwin is 36 years old his prime wrestling time was in the last century and the age diference plays big factor in MMA.Cain is the new Fedor :) JDS got a submition loss alwredy is no mistic about him he will lose again soon

I think Cain should win it if he's 100%. Hopefully he gets fully recovered and he won't have ring rust issues. Anyone can win, but I give Cain(at 100%) the edge.

Dos Santos not only showed great takedown defense in that fight, he didn't even allow Carwin to get to the clinch more than once or twice and when he did, he got out of it immediately. He did an excellent job of keeping the fight where he wanted it.

That said, he was able to do those things because he was faster than Carwin, an advantage he does not have over Velazquez. Velazquez's combines high level wrestling with the same type of speed as Dos Santos, and while his boxing may be a notch below Dos Santos technically, he definitely has faster hands and more technical boxing than Carwin. In addition, he does a better job of mixing up his strikes than Dos Santos, throwing a lot of kicks and knees.

I see Velazquez being the less predictable fighter, and Dos Santos boxing advantage being nullified by the fact that he will have to worry about defending Cain's takedowns. Cain will walk away with a hard fought split decision.

Finally, Overeem might just wreck either one of them. He is bigger and more powerful than either one, has better skills than either one in every area of the fight game and more experience. However, Dos Santos got nailed by Carwin at least twice in that fight and wasn't even staggered. Velazquez has also shown a great chin. Overeem has shown a not so great chin, so he could easily get TKO'd by either guy.

The weak chin comment was a little out there. He's been knockout before but his chin has seemed to be more stable now at Heavyweight. 'Easily' is overstatement. While it was K-1, Overeem took some of the heavy hitters' best shots and still kept on coming.

As for the Uberknee comment, it was a scientific fact. Legs carry more mass than an arm which is why Overeem carries the knock out power advantage.

I picked Cain but it's basically a coin flip - either way should be a great great fight.

Regarding the third option with Alistair, I don't think that's true at all. Alistair is a great fighter no doubt and watching him fight either of these men would be a treat but I wouldn't expect him to walk through either man.

I give it to Cain. Maybe his boxing isnt ass pretty as Cigano's but he too has dangerous hands. He also has the ability to control his opponent (he is an A.K.A. product afterall) which is something that JDS has not really had to deal with as of yet. Be a good fight for sure.

Cain's boxing is many times better then Carwins and his head movement might be the best in the heavyweight division so it won't be such an easy target. Cain's wrestling is also much better then Carwins so it won't be the same fight at all.

I think it will be an amazing fight that will go to a decision but Cain will edge it out with takedowns and stamina.

I second that statement about Cain's head movement. He's constantly moving side to side. Plus he can absorb damage. He took a solid knee from Brock at the start of the fight and it didn't phase him.

    Junior has his ears full.
