Paulo Thiago confirms the fight against "The Hitman" Kampmann at UFC 115
Posted on March 11, 2010, 05:06 AM by Anton GurevichTop 10 Welterweight Paulo Thiago confirmed in an interview to Tatame.com that he will be fighting the Danish contender Martin "The Hitman" Kampmann at UFC 115. Twenty-nine year old Thiago made his Octagon debut at UFC 95, by impressively knocking out Josh Koscheck in the first round of the fight.
Paulo Thiago is currently 13-1 in his MMA career, and will look for a victory that will solidify his place as a title contender in the UFC against a "top ranked" Martin Kampmann:
“He’s a tough guy. If I win this fight, it will be a new step in my career. He did a great fight against Jacob Volkmann. He’s a top ranked fighter, which makes it a very good fight for me.”
UFC 115 will take place on June 12th, but it is still unclear whether it will be in Vancouver, due to the lack of regulations in place to promote the sport professionally. Third part of the Liddell vs Ortiz saga is expected to headline the event, with Yoshihiro Akiyama vs Wanderlei Silva fight as the co-main event of the evening.

Paul Thiago is a damn good fighter, but I don't think he has a chance against Kampmann.
y not, people said he had no chance against swick or kos and he ended up koing one of them and chockin the other

i dont think his stand up needs too much work, he just has an awkward stance and style but it is effective seein that he ko'd kos and knocked down swick

I was watching Discovery channel deadliest creatures in Brazil alot of them where Paulo works if he can survive the fuzzy catapiller of death (not offical name can't remeber it) then he will beat Kampman.

I'm from Denmark so Kampmann's the man, but I have to stay true to what i believe. And Im afraid its bad news for the Hitman. Thiago has more power in his punches and has looked really good in his last fights.
For Kampmann to win I think he needs to stay away from Thiago's power and submit him if he can.,, Man this sux. Swick would have been a better matchup for Kampmann. Instead he gets SEMTEX and freakin Thiago.... Thanks a lot Dana......Argh!

Kampmanns early fight years. No same and not the best quality, but the fights speak louder!!! I recommend "Nonpoint-Hand off" as soundtrack for the reel. enjoy!
