Paul Daley Signs with Bellator Fighting Championships
Posted on July 10, 2010, 09:49 AM by Joey SantosusPaul "Semtex" Daley, who was recently expelled from the UFC, has found a new promotion. According to MMABay, the brawny Brit has inked a deal with the American based Bellator Fighting Championships.
The welterweight contender amassed an abundance of negative publicity following his post fight antics at UFC 113. Following his match with Josh Koscheck, Daley approached his opponent in what seemed to be in a congratulatory fashion before punching him long after the bout had concluded.
In the months leading up to the highly anticipated fight, a very heated verbal exchange had ensued, wherein each fighter had promised nothing short of a war come fight night. However, when the match began it was all wrestling on behalf of Koscheck and as the final round neared its end, Koshcheck finished up with one last verbal jab. While it is still unknown what those last words were, it was enough to make "Semtex" explode. In the post-fight press conference UFC president Dana White publicly released Daley, vowing that under no circumstances would the British brawler fight in the UFC again.
Paul Daley will likely be thrown straight into the mix at Bellator. The current division champion Lyman Good (10-0) is currently set to defend his title against the NCAA Division 1 champ Ben Askren (6-0) following Askren's season two tournament victory. Daly will be the latest high-profile addition to Bellator's ever growing roster, following their recent signing of Roger Huerta. Look for "Semtex" to make an immediate impact on the division.

Great signing for Bellator Daley's a bit of a prick but an exciting fighter when he's not on his back. I see a lot of TKO wins for Daley but i also see him being dominated on the ground.
Yea, Askrin is a wrestling beast. They are calling him the next GSP. I am happy for Bellator really, I hope they keep getting some big names. I like their format, the only problem is the need a better broadcasting deal.
I hope bellator do well and I hope daley cools it a bit. He is a good fighter and i will watch but i hope it will be a new improved daley instead of the trash lipped mike tyson daley.

As far as their actual broadcasting, you may already get some of the channels. Go to their website, Bellator.com and check out the channels. Off the top of my head I know it airs on FSN (Fox Sports Network), and there are others. Hope this helps!

Lol, I was thinking the same thing when I saw it haha, dont worry about it tho, its no big deal....
Paul Daley has said this is FALSE, he has not signed with them...

Lyman Good was set to sign with Elite XC before promotion folded his frist fight was to be Paul Daley its funny how things happen. Yea, but that was just one of the many sites reporting it, in fact they were not the ones that broke the story, it was BJPenn.com. However, just about every MMA site on the internet reported it eventually. I am 99.9% sure that there is more than likely some truth in the matter, its probably just not final yet. MMAFighting reported that Bellator said the have not signed Daley YET.... So using the word yet leads one to believe that its in the works anyway. Makes sense really, because of his fight with IFC.
