Ready to see Pat again in the octagon. I believe if he focuses hard he can start moving up the HW ladder. I remember his vicious leg kicks and hope to see more of them in this fight.
Nice dude. He didn't want to be on the ground which is understandably. I mean he did lose by a choke, and he pretty much gassed the last round and a half. But i'd like to see him comeback. He might have the best striking in HW UFC division.
He didn't gas, he broke his right hand (his dominant hand) and his right foot (his dominant foot). People can't get it through their thick skulls that he didn't gas, he didn't throw the fight, he didn't give Cro Cop too much respect, etc. He broke his 2 primary weapons, but he kept coming forward.
I hope that's sarcasm...He didn't throw that many punches in the last round, O.K. he broke his hand. But he defiantly didn't try throwing more kicks etc. Why, not because he wanted to give up is the fact that he actually couldn't. Why? not enough stamina. And if you think that Carwin didn't gas you have an IQ of a brick. The dude can barely walk in the second round. It was Carwins fight to lose and he did just that. He might have some condition, which is regardless, he ran himself out.
He just said above he broke his hand AND his foot.. ever try throwing a kick with a broken foot? it hurts.. granted if he broke his baby toe, no big deal. but depending on how bad the break was.. yaaa i wouldnt be throwing kicks either
He's not karate, but kickboxing. Who kicks with his toes? Faber broke both his hands and he went out and fought his heart out. He was trying to find a way to strike without his hands etc. Pat obviously had the will to fight not the cardio. Again you peeps miss the point.
when somone who knows nothing but punching n kicking and breaks is lead hand n foot its hard to fight.....he had to be wheel chaired off to the hospital after becuase his foot was that bad
Poor Pat Barry. He says in other videos that people were coming up to his mom and asking why he threw the fight.
After I heard he broke his hand (a serious break) and his foot, I had to commend his warrior spirit. At the time, when I saw him knock Cro Cop down, I was saying jump on him! finish him! ---while he was thinking, crap, I broke my hand, I can't go to the ground with this--I can't even grip with this--better stay standing.
