Rising Heavyweight contender Brendan "The Hybrid" Schaub, who will face his  toughest test to date in Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 134, looks back on his victory over Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic in May and discusses facing the legendary "Minotauro" in Brazil.  Schaub believes that Nogueira is the toughest guy in the division to put away, but says that outside of getting a title shot, there is no match he'd rather have.

UFC 134 is set to take place August 27th from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  The landmark card will be headlined by a Middleweight title clash between division Champion Anderson Silva and challenger Yushin Okami, while Mauricio "Shogun" Rua takes on Forrest Griffin in the co-main event. This would definitely be a huge win for Brendan. He has an advantage as far as athleticism. Standing up, they should be pretty even. Brendan probably hits harder and is faster, but Big Nog has a huge experience advantage. If Schaub gets take down and kept there for any length of time, he will get submitted, but if he can keep the fight standing, he has a good chance of winning a decision or getting a KO.

If he wins this one it'll be back to back victories over PRIDE legends and that is a very good look.

agree schraub is too hungry for this fight while nog is proving that he can still compete. Ill go with schaub but untill the rematch with big country. I can count him that he can take JDS punch.

Hoping for Nog, hes getting older and not that much left in the tank I'm guessing so I'd like to see hiim get a few more wins.

If Nog loses its quite a big deal here, but if Brendan loses its not a big thing and he is young with plenty of time to come back up the ladder.

Schaub is just fighting past primetime fighters .. who happen to have a name.

I like Schaub and think he has a decent future.

But my god man .. fight somebody that is coming up instead of going down in talent for once.

    Ages of last 4 opponents for Schaub - 36, 32, 37, 35
