Nick Diaz understands what it's like to be injured, doesn't believe Georges St. Pierre is scared

"You're fighting three or four fights a year, it's only sooner or later before one of these guys aren't actually going to make it all of the way through camp. You'll be lucky if you do. For me, I'm injured too - I understand. I'm like, 'Hey, I'm injured.' I was injured all those fights, I wasn't 100-percent or anything. So, I understand. People put a lot of pressure on him to come out and do better than he did the last time. It's hard enough to come out there and keep himself going the way he's doing. So, I can understand what it must be like being injured for real and everybody is like, 'Oh, hey, you're scared.' It's not what it seems."

Wait, isn't Diaz himself one of the people who said, "Oh, hey, you're scared" to GSP? I mean, I like what he said above, it's just, it doesn't jive with what he said before. Interesting.
didn't most of these guys say something contradictorily? they are fighters and sometimes emotions get the best of them. thats the way trash talk works. and it seems to be a good way to market fights.
Seems like he has put some thought into it and changed his mind. Sometimes that happens. Hell, I'm even guilty of that now and then.

Vicious Nature, i dont think he would, he is a pro fighter, even with his attitude, i dont see him just beating people up for talking bad about him. prison or jail is not a place anyone wants to go over something so petty.
intelligent comment...and in all fairness, I think Nick is a GREAT fighter. I just can't stand the things he says sometimes. And although he is an awesome warrior, IF he makes it through Condit, I believe he will be completely dominated by GSP.
I like Chael's ability to say just about anything to promote a fight. I don't think Nick can match Sonnen in terms of humor value...
...but he got under GSP's skin and really pissed him off, so I have to give him props for the instant hype storm around this one.
As fans, the public persona of fighters is all we get to deal with. When that 'persona' does something we don't like or disagree with, there's nothing wrong with us saying so.
However, it's good to remember that the people behind the persona may be a lot different than what we're used to seeing.

OH Nick is being so humble in this interview! He must be on his medication in this interview. He said that GSP was scared and faking the injury before, now he is nice. Interesting.
He said he's gonna follow up with some more training with Rousey. She could use some of those techniche's that Diaz utilizes to disrupt her opponant's rhythm.
I can't wait for the Condit fight this weekend!! Man these two guys are gonna duke it out until only one is standing, or until the last bell is rung; ending this war for the masses!!
This footage has got to be at least a couple of months old. I wonder how it took so long to surface here. It is a very entertaining piece to let slip between the cracks. A very entertaining piece! I think that is the reason that Nick is in such a good mood during this interview.
