This weekend, former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz will look to make another step towards capturing the UFC Welterweight title from the hands of Georges St. Pierre, facing Carlos Condit for the Interim belt in the main event of UFC 143. Diaz spoke about his upcoming match-up with "The Natural Born Killer" in Las Vegas, Nevada, and his expectations from a man who has a total of 26 finishes out of 27 career victories on his professional Mixed Martial Arts record. Nick Diaz also spoke about Georges St. Pierre's injury, once again asking for the French-Canadian to provide a proof of his torn ACL.

Nick Diaz:

"They want me to fight Georges, but who knows maybe Georges isn't even hurt. Have anyone seen pictures of his surgery? Because I haven't. I don't know, maybe they are out everywhere and everyone knows about them, but I just haven't. I want to see some photograph or video. I'm not saying Georges isn't hurt or anything, but I don't know, he's fighting already? If I let someone chop my knee open I wouldn't fight next year."

Seems like he's a slave of his coaches. If my coach told to do this or that I'll do it. Come one man!

The fact that this is even a legitimate MMA article or a question in anyone's mind is both ridiculous and sad.......

I believed he's being coached by sneaky Ceaser on what to say and not to say...Just a few days ago, he stated he "understands" GSP's situation and how everyone can get injured in this sport. Anyway, if Diaz isn't punished by a very dangerous Condit, he'll certainly be humiliated and beat by GSP...Matters little is his defeat at the hands of the real champ happens by overpowering wrestling or another way...

Wouldn't surprise me in the least if Ceaser is coaching him on what to say and is milking the whole bad boy persona for all it's worth.

Sadly I think he's totally serious and not playing mind games. Either that or repeating lines that Cesar gave him.

Diaz really opened up in this interview, seems he's coming around to sharing. As ****y as he gets in the cage he's quite humbled when he's asked about his personal life and how he feels about certain things.

I'm kinda fed up of hearing you douchebags whining about how he handles interviews and how he acts dumb etc. The motherfvcker comes to fight which is more than can be said for a lot of other 'fighters'. Just respect him for that, enjoy the fights and shut the hell up.

Diaz is honest even if you dont agree with him. He knows his coaches are why hes where he is. Its amazing how much bullshhit people can take from a simple interview.

Its interesting to hear Nick say the UFC camera guys and media are coaching him now for his media takes. This seems to have been a big issue for him in the past and now he seems comfortable with it.

GSP will show Diaz proof of his injury as soon as Diaz shows GSP proof that he was legally discharged from the mental institution.......

Diaz is completely playing mind games. He knows the UFC doctors have seen George. He knows he had a surgery. He also knows that one fighter doesn't have to prove his injury to another.

He's just trying to get in Georges head.

I've always been on anyone's side thats fighting nick but I really am starting to change my mind. I want to see him win this fight and go give GSP a tough fight win or lose. I like that even if he seems outmatched he goes for it.

The hate on Diaz from a bunch of cobardes fans... Yet to hypocrites to say the truth about GSP latest interview... Yea I have a very mean bad dark-side in me... I've had more street fights then Nick, I would love to tell Nick the F word, and many more things... But no... I'm a role model for kids.. My hero growing up was Wayne Gretzky... WTF...How can you have many street fight with Wayne Gretzky as a role model.... And trying to be something you're not is called a hypocrite.. But yet GSP nut huggers just keep on sucking his nuts, while he talks stup8d.. While Nick Diaz always keeps it real, and never try to be someone his not, people hate him for it... Some MMA fans really don't no sh*t about MMA or life....

So just because you have a hero that's in a different sport means you don't street fight? I think that shows how little you know about life. Your post shows how much of a retard you must be, I mean you were there with GSP throughout his life I am sure right. Dude get a brain....and I'm not nut huggin on GSP your post is just embarrassing to fans and really anyone. And furthermore retard GSP isn't being someone he isn't, everyone has different sides to them, what business is it of yours that he doesn't want to show his dark side or toss out F-bombs in every sentence. Seriously kid go back to the monkey bars at the playground. It's funny how you are trashing on people that support GSP and you call them nut huggers, kinda like you are acting with Diaz...grow up moron

Im not thrilled about GSP's current approach to winning professsional fights, but i do think he has been in more street fights. Hes the right size and 'look" where people would start fights with him. Nick probably started all his street fights. I like Nick and am not a betting man, but I would bet that is the story behind GSP's claim.

I just want to see a war with Condit. He aint nobody's stepping stone! This cat is dangerous and Nick knows it. I got some honest insight on what kind of fighter Nick thinks Condit is. Dangerous.

Daiz sees this as a hard fight, but I have confidence that he will win. Carlos wonders if Diaz can take all the damage that he is gonna bring.

I wonder if Condit can take the storm that Diaz puts on him!!

Both fighters have excellent chins and have shown mental toughness, which is close enough to be even. I give Condit an edge in striking, due to variety and power.

Diaz is an excellent striker and hits hard but gets the job done by combinations, as opposed to the one punch finish Carlos owns. And the NBK muay thai skills gives him an element with his feet and knees that Diaz can't match.

I give Diaz the edge in hand speed, endurance and ground game. Condit is in fantastic shape, but Nick will still push his cardio. Diaz strike rate is one of the highest in UFC history.

While Condit will be better at taking Diaz down, once he gets there, it won't go well. Carlos has very good GnP, but he'll be too busy defending against submissions to make it work.

These are two fantastic fighters at the age where their physical abilities are peak. It will be a war, even if it's a brief one.

I think the stand up could go either way, but if Diaz doesn't like the way it is going, he has option of taking it to the ground. If he's not winning the striking battle, taking Nick down won't make things better for Carlos.

Which is why I'm going with Diaz to win by submission.

Hahaha! First off..."Don't be scared homie!" I don't get this dude...first he's saying he understands gsp's injury...then he's on ufc primetime saying he has to play the bad guy to get a fight with gsp and cesars punk @$$ is saying Diaz is not a thug, this and that. So why do they try and act hard in the octagon? Tryna be a gangster..saying "where u at George?,where u at mutha#@$!@? With ceaser in the background cheering him on haha...then they'll be on primetime saying no were not like this. Haha! While there showing the world on national tv that there acting like dumb @$$',there painting their own picture. They should've have made his post yesterday ("nick being gangster") topic, nick being a wanksta..haha too funny though. Why would u go and say you want proof of gsp's injury? That's like gsp asking nick he wants proof and a good reason what his reason was for missing not one but two press conferences. Haha...just shut the fu#! Up and scrap...you do come from the "SCRAP" pack right???

    GO CONDIT!!!

Nick Diaz is not an idiot. He is just uneducated and illiterate. Everything about him shouts that he doesn't want anyone to know just how uneducated and unsophisticated he is. Underneath, he may be a very nice guy guy. However, he is so afraid that everyone will judge him for being stupid, he would rather be classified as a punk.
