Hes good but not good enough to beat GSP
Man, a lot of people judge fighters by whether or not they like them. The fact of the matter is Diaz can FIGHT. He is just as good as any of the top ranked WWs in the UFC and would definitely give GSP a good fight. I personally think GSP would win but that is by no means guaranteed.

He's a good fighter, but I honestly think GSP could take him out in both the standup AND ground game. If he ever got resigned to the UFC, I'd say give him an imposing striker like Hardy or Pitbull - I don't think he'd get past them.

I found this thread on the sidebar of the UFC threads but this must be running as a mainstay under Strikeforce or something because there are WAY to many ppl here just talking nonsense about Diaz being able to beat GSP......Thats just stupid to say. Plus there are alot of valid arguments and points being made here with dominantly "weak" ratings.....Just means a bunch of people who cant afford the PPV so they dry hump Strikeforce are running rampant on this thread until their mothers call them for dinner. Not many liked Tyson either but he turned out in the long run to be one of the hardest hitters ever in the sport.

Middle weight, but Im not going into my short MMA career(4-1). Once you get broken ribs and your nearing 40 its not easy to keep going and keep working a job. At amateur level, no-one pays your bills, I recently spent 7K on my dental work and dont think its a good idea to see my teeth in my mouth piece again.
People post here and dont realize what fighters go thru or the mindset it takes to compete.
Adrenalin is the hardest thing to control, it will gas you quickly.
Theres some aspects to Diaz's fighting thats pretty amazing.

He doesnt hate his opponents, he hates people who doubt him, mostly fans. You see after his fights, he always has something to say to the haters, if he loses, he deals with it, says nothing and walks away.
i'm just getting involved in MMA. Been at it for 2-3 months now.. Takes lotsa hard work, but as for controlling yourself, when you fight professionally, like any of these guys, you need to be able to control yourself. Thats what should be seperating the pros from amateurs (well one of the things, u know what i mean). I just watched the Strikeforce brawl, and i gotta say im disappointed in it. I got into MMA cuz i love fighting but also the respect shown between fighters. I dont rele respect either diaz brother after that. If you watch it, mayhem miller had alreayd been taken care of and then Nick comes after the fact just to get his shots in... Act like a PROFESSIONAL
