Ultimate Fighting Championship released the updated poster for UFC 133, with Tito Ortiz replacing the injured Phil Davis in the main image. Tito Ortiz was the first fighter offered to replace Davis, and the first fighter to decline. But eventually, "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" stepped up and will face Rashad Evans in a rematch from UFC 73, at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile, bookmakers mark Rashad Evans as a clear favorite at -450, while Ortiz goes at +300. For their previous bout (HT: BloodyElbow.com), Ortiz was a slight favorite at -110 to Evans' +125.

Tito manned up and a took a serious fight on short notice. Sure, that translates into a fat payday, but Titio didn't particularly need to accept the challenge. But, he manned up and showed real courage...Rashad is a very difficult challenge who could beat the "bad boy." Tito will earn new respect from many fans...He's proving that he's not just a man of words, but a man of action as well...

Pretty sure they meant back from the loss column (and the dead) after the big win against Bader, and now he's trying to go for the belt again by hopefully taking out Rashad and getting another shot at the title.

Tito makes the UFC more money then Rashad and that is all that matters in the end.

To be fair, they said all along that it would not start until after UFC 133. Even so though, I haven't heard any mention of headliners scheduled after the fact being 5-rounds yet either. Unless we are just supposed to assume now that the announcement was made. But, you would think they would make a bigger thing out of it from a promotional stand-point.

just a thought, i found it strange that from that date onwards that all main events will be 5 rounds. takes away whats special about a championship fight. My idea ( i doubt the commisions would allow it though) is now that rule is now in place in the UFC, they should change Championship fights to unlimited 5 min rounds with no judges, only way to win is KO/TKO, sub, Doctor stoppage, exhaustion. That would be the ultimate test for fighters.

interesting idea, my problems with that though:

    a) Watching 2 exhausted heavyweights lumbering around taking huge desperate swings wouldn't be the best showcase for the sport - how do you police "exhaustion"?

    Herb Dean: "You're exhausted"

Exhausted fighter: "No" *breath* "I'm" *breath* "Not!"

    and mainly

    b) Most five round decisions are obvious from the first couple of rounds who will win, fighting for points. i think fights that last 5 rounds and remain genuinely exciting are few and far between, usually due to a lay and pray strategy or neither fighter looking to have enough power or flair to win the fight decisively.

plus the UFC couldn't adopt it due to programme timing constraints.

Yes its frustrating to watch a great 3 rounder that just seemed to need that extra round to provide a finish, but it would be more frustrating to start seeing more 5 round decisions that could have been called at three rounds. And if anything that limit should encourage fighters to go for the stoppage earlier.

Rite on! Tito stepped up after all. I hope he puts it to Evans good this time around. This is a match he said he wanted after the Bader win; along with Machita and Forrest. If he can pull off another upset, he may very well be looking at a title shot when the dust settles! Evans was supposed to fight Jones after all. Knock the rust off of him Tito.

once tito losses hopefully this zuffa zombie hype of him being a top LHW will come to an end. First everyone hates him and hes on his way to the retirement home and now hes a good guy and is the best in town? a month ago half the people here would be hating on him and his pornstar wife

Tito deserves all the respect for the determination to step up to the octagon and taking this fight on a short notice.

He is an asshole but he paved the ways for the fighters today. You are acting like an asshole too, but what have you done?

I am not asking to like the guy, I am just saying not to be an asshole towards someone that has actually done something for the sport.

I'm actually more excited for this fight even though Rashad vs Davis would probably be more competitive. I cant wait for the trash talking between these two again.

    War Tito !!

i'm hoping for the W, if not tito is still a threat to everyone, even his losing streak were competitive fights.

And without body problems he could be the best ortiz in the last years.

Either way, tito stepped up and it's gonna be war !!

win or lose should be a good fight !

most mma "fans" have no clue.. they are just followers. whatever dana says goes or the media..

they r not true fans sticking to their favourite fighters through thick and tin.

for example anderson silva(abu dabi).. how much shit had he taken and by his next fight everybody loved him again..

not to mention most only "know" the ufc and strikeforce.. sad really..

With all of the intriguing fights on that card, it's a shame there's only two names on the poster. Should be a great night of fights, regardless of the potential sleeper main event.
