Nate Diaz: Nick doesn't need to fight

Following his loss to Carlos Condit at UFC 143, Nick Diaz implied that he would be leaving the sport of MMA. The legitimacy of that claim was put into question when his drug test came back with marijuana metabolites, earning him a temporary license suspension pending a hearing with the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
Nick’s brother, Nate took part in the UFC on FOX 3 press conference this week and spoke about Nick’s potential retirement. “I’m not going to tell him to go fight somebody. I think he’s doing the right thing, you know? Whatever. He made enough money to just chill back, sit back and relax, you know? People don’t understand, Nick never had nothing. He came from not much, so… He complained a lot about not making much money because there’s so many people making more money than him that he works 10 times harder than, so. Someone who has never earned a large sum of money, usually is good at making investments and using it to get through the rest of their lives... on the other hands be could be smoking blunts 24 7 and just kicking back playing video games...

Maybe he'll take his time away to reflect on his career while catching up on some much needed chiefing.
Nick makes more in one fight than I do in seven years of work, and that's just in reported pay. He can sit on his ass if he wants to, and I can't blame him for choosing to. And whenever he wants to fight again, he can return and the UFC will welcome him back into title contention with open arms. Lucky. Son. Of. A. Bitch.

I believe the best thing for Nick is to retire. Obviously the mma business in general bothers him. Go train for your triathalons and smoke all the weed you want. The is the life man, standing in and getting beat up is no long term plan. As much as I love to watch Nick Diaz fight, retiring sounds like it fits this guy best.

wasn't he calling out GSP after his fight with BJ Penn?? Just cuz he lost to Condit, he says he will quit MMA now... and comes up with the excuse that they don't pay him enough.. he needs to swallow his pride and fight his way back to the top.
