At UFC 136 Nam Phan accomplished what he failed to do in his first meeting with Leonard Garcia, score a victory. After three exciting rounds on Saturday, October 8 Phan had his armed raised, taking the fight with a unanimous decision victory.
Not only did Phan gain the victory, according to Fighters Only, he set a UFC record during the 15 minutes he spent in the Octagon with Garcia. During the fight, Phan landed 195 total strikes, of those 195 strikes, 174 of them were deemed to be significant strikes by FightMetric, breaking the record that was previously held by the recently retired Chris Lytle.
Lytle held the record since UFC 119, when he landed 153 significant strikes in his victory over Matt Serra.

Round One:
Total Strikes: 50
Significant Strikes: 42
Round Two:
Total Strikes: 78

Congratulation for Nam ! Well Deserved it !
the kid hit 100% in round 2...wow and swung a 90% at least in the others
is a big deal when your fighting a guy like Garcia
You misinterpret. It isn't striking attempts vs landed strikes. The stats are all landed strikes, and the amount of those landed strikes that were deemed significant.
I guess this is because Diaz hasn't fought in the UFC for a long time but still very cool for Nam :)
its pretty easy to hit the guy when his hand are at his sides and hes tottally gased
