UFC 143 will take place this Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Los Vegas, Nevada. On Sunday, the New York Giants will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.

Various NFL stars of the past and present, including the NY Giants current quarterback, Eli Manning took time out of the pre-Super Bowl build up to offer their thoughts on who is going to take home the interim UFC Welterweight title on Saturday night.

Some of the other players that offer their take on the Diaz versus Condit scrap are Jerry Rice, Kurt Warner, Warren Sapp and Michael Strahan.

its funny that it took nick diaz one fight back in the ufc to become a household name. i been a fan of this dude since the lawler fight and he just keeps getting better. i remember a year ago, a lot of fans were saying he wouldnt even be top ten in the ufc. well i got news for you. he's ranked number one and he has the whole world of mma talking about his skills. go nick and nate. i hope you both get the title and hold them for a long time.

I remember Jake Shields being the future UFC household name until he got dominated by GSP and went down the drain. Nick Diaz is really entertaining and will always be a fighter that counts in the UFC but as far as the hype train right now, it will sow down if he loses to Condit and when he loses to GSP cause i'm pretty sure he will.

Sheilds got lucky to come as far as he has with literally no striking skills.

Hes not even in the same league as Nick and they all knew it.

Nick said a while back in an interview "Look what my boy Sheilds did to him, what do you think I'm going to do to GSP?"

shields also beat condit bro. some people don't really know how good shield's is on the ground and the big names he has beaten in a row. another thing they don't know is diaz has those same ground skills, but doesn't rely on them the way shields does. if he fights gsp, it would not suprise me if gsp goes for an immediate takedown and gets his ass submitted. the only way i see gsp winning is by leghump.

    MMA math doesnt really work.

Shields and Diaz are completely different fighters. One style doesnt match up with other styles the same.

So to say cause Shields beat or did well against someone doesnt mean Nick will.

I'm not an NFL fan but this was cool all the same. It just shows you how far the UFC / MMA has penetrated into the culture. Warren Sapp - lol. Looks like his bro
