He pretty much said Anderson Silva kicks all the people he trains with in the face like he did to Vitor... If someone kicked me in the face like that we aint training anymore we're scrap'n... That's if i aint out cold from it first haha

I just wish that he would take all of his fights to the ground instead of trying to bang with those good strikers in the HW division.

Big Nog is still the man in my book.

Hell yea he is. I agree with you. Ground guys just want to stand up now. I respect that but they are getting knocked out. BJJ guys don't want to use their BJJ. It's crazy to me.

He does take most of the fights to the ground but when he fought Cain, I personally thought Nog would have a huge advantage on the feet while on the ground his BJJ n Cains wrestling mite cancel out so standing with Cain didnt seem like a bad idea

I thought Cain was going to get killed in that fight. That was the one that made me a believer.

You thought Nog would have an advantage and you weren't impressed? That doesn't make any sense.

why not carwin??? shane is coming off one loss to brock and nog is coming off of one loss to cain... so in theory it does make sense but i kinda dont wanna see it as i dont wanna see either guy lose two in a row but it does make sense

I still have him at # 10. Some people are really jumping the gun and putting Kharitinov and Del Rosario ahead of him. They might be better but I think it is too early to say that.

Agreed. And it's all about the money. Grapplers simply are not as marketable as strikers. When I talk to friends of mine who dont know the sport, almost every time respond with the "looks like dudes rolling around" remark. The fancy knockouts get the big attention. Everybody wants to get paid. You end up with BJJ guys with ok stand up trying to bang with real strikers.

I think Nog has good stand up but he also uses it setup take downs. Roger Gracie seems to be sticking to that model too.

Thing about Cain is that he is one of those "imposing his will" type of fighters. Thats a hard thing to train for, even for a legend like Big Nog.

Cain didn't impose his will on Big Nog. He just showed superior boxing and got a really quick KO. It's not like Nog didn't want to stand and Cain forced him to.
