Former WEC Bantamweight Champion Miguel Torres was successful in his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut, defeating Antonio Banuelos via a clean Unanimous Decision. Torres controlled the action throughout the fight, thanks to a significant reach advantage.

Torres did not use his superior grappling skills in this contest, but still managed to land more strikes than Banuelos in every round of the fight. Miguel Torres improved his Mixed Martial Arts Record to 39-3, in what was his second consecutive victory since the back-to-back losses to Benavidez and Bowles.

I enjoyed the fight...and Torres used his reach to great effect and fought with composure. Banuelos wanted Torres to come within reach of his short powerful arms and he was frustrated. The ball was in his court.

If the fight lacked excitement, it was Banuelos fault, not Torres.

terrible how Miguel has changed his game for a score win. Not surprising, considering he is working with GSP's camp.

This fight was just awful to watch!

i actually kinda like a fight like that. true, the pace shouldve have been pushed by MIguel, but it was so technically sound. Miguel was pushing out his jab and straight so quickly and effectively, it was interesting, but yes it was not very exciting.
