Michael Bisping talks TUF 14, Chael Sonnen, and Jason "Mayhem" Miller
Posted on June 14, 2011, 04:30 PM by Joey SantosusTop Middleweight contender Michael Bisping, who is coaching opposite Jason "Mayhem" Miller on The Ultimate Fighter 14, shares his thoughts on being extended the opportunity for the second time and talks about the coaching staff he has brought in. Bisping feels his team is "absolutely amazing" and says that based on the "unbelievable" elimination fights, he expects this season to be "incredible."
The Ultimate Fighter 14 began production last week and is currently slated to debut September 21st on Spike TV. In customary fashion, Bisping and Miller will go head to head following the show's conclusion in a bout that will headline the TUF 14 Finale in December.

Is it just me or does Bisping seems a lot more respectful and calmed down than expect when it comes to Chael and Mayhem, considering what they've said?
I dont think Mayhem has said anything about Bisping....but ya Bisping is more professional now cares about his image more now
@Stiks
Michale Bisping hasn't changed one bit actually, it's just people are finally waking up to the fact that he doesn't trash talk as much as his hater's suggest. The truth is Bisping just has a personality that rubs people up the wrong way, so they look for reasons why dislike him and come up with trash talking etc etc. I've been defending Bisping on this site for a while now but can honestly say he hasn't changed one little bit. The only time he goes after a guy verbally is when they say something he doesn't agree with which is pretty normal in mma.
i ike bisping, i find him funny and alot of what he says is not nasty, he tries to be funny but certain people and especially the americans dont get it. Im not defending him 100% cos i slated him when he spat at riveras camp but generally he is just funny and only goes for people when they have gone for him.
apart from comparing him to bin laden, of all people. riiiight ninja..
Oh ya forgot about that one lol....I guess Mayhem is trying to get under his skin hasn't worked yet seeing that Bisping hasn't reacted n has stayed calm but I'm sure once TUF is done we'll see more of a reaction from Bisping
"Bisping has a very prickish quality to him..."
"I would love to smash his face..."
Don't forget his plans to "beat the bangers and mash" out of Bisping...
double humility bomb!!!!!
Does Bisping really think Mayhem needs him to make a name for himself?
Miller is much better known than Bisping... as a personality if not as an MMA fighter... and Miller actually has fans!
Yeah maybe in the states, most casual fans in the UK know nothing about Miller especially since Bully Beat down was never broadcasted here. Bisbing has plenty of fans in the UK
Dude not just the states he's real popular in japan
I never disliked BIsbing. Not a huge fan either, but then I again I don't really watch TUF so i didn't see him on it against Hendo. Probably one of the most underrated guys out there tho. I see him sorta as a consummate top 5 guy who can beat the 4-10's but never quite get past the 1-3's...
Is anyone else hearing that baby sound in the backround or is it that my lap top is just ****ed?
my apologies about the chlamydia mrs bisping... i didnt know i had it
Best interview i've seen with Bisping.
Shows a good side to him.
Dont like the dude .. never did.
People dont change they just learn how to hide it better.
I really like both fighters, their personalities and fighting styles but everyone has to see this as Miller's only chance to win the fight is to get it to the ground, and if he can do that (I doubt he will) he needs to keep it there.
Theres a few factors which really stick out for me in this match, and not just their fighting abilities:
- This is the second time Bisping has been in this posisition, third time on the show. Bisping will know how to train throughout the show and train while the media masses are around the fighters non stop even after the show.
- While Miller has been around for a good time in MMA, he hasn't been under pressure anywhere near to Bisping, I expect Miller to be okayw ith this but you never know. Bisping has been on the Ultimate Fighter twice, fought at UFC 100 and he has fought Silva, Evans and Henderson.
- Bisping's wrestling has come a long way as he has worked heavily on it as we can see, I don't know if Miller will be able to ground this fight.
- Miller is obviously miles ahead in the BJJ department but don't think that Bisping is a slouch on the ground. He must be training a lot on BJJ defense for this fight and if he applies his work ethic to this as he has done with his wrestling I'm sure he won't be as vunerable on the ground as everyone thinks.
- Bisping's cardio is insane and he sets a super fast pace most fighters can't keep up with so I feel the longer this fight goes the less chance of Miller taking Bisping down.
- Miller has decent stand up and isn't going to be target practice for Bisping but a huge advantage goes to Bisping, on the feet.
I think Bisping will set an early pace and push Miller on the feet all 3 rounds. I think Miller will struggle to go for takedowns but I don't see him attempting too many. Bisping will score a couple of takedowns and use a bit of ground and pound. Miller will make at least 1 takedown but will not get much going on the ground and Bisping will be back on his feet quickly.
Bisping by decision.
