I think that Bisping reach, height and size will overwhelm Akiyama. I don't think it's going to be a decisive win by any means or a stoppage but I think Bisping will take it.
Agreed. I think Bisping would be smart to frustrate Akiyama and look for him to gas himself out. Bisping will jab and keep to the outside (as usual), I doubt he'll get caught.
This is a "who cares fight" deciding 15th place ranking at 185. Dan Hardy is a more series contender - he should be the headliner.
Also, I can't stand listening to Bisping talk about being 1 year away from a title shot .... is he that far in denial?
you rele dont like the brits eh? lol i give bisping by decision and im not sure about hardy and condit cuz i dont rele know much about condit. But im def a hardy fan
So i need to pick all 3 british fighters in order to be sharpened and look 'sharp' on a MMA site, lol.
All i see is Akiyama KO'ing Bisping in the 1st, if it goes past the 1st round than yes Bisping will probably take a decision as he doesn't have the killer instinct and enough power to put Akiyama away.
I just feel Bisping has a dodgy chin, hes shown that in his past lose to Silva aswell, and i see Bisping overcommitting in the 1st and being clipped on the button and thats not a good idea as Akiyama has a good chin.
Condit vs Hardy will be fight of the night and i see Condit taking a very, very contraversial decision which will then result in a rematch. :D
Hathaway vs Pyle is a no brainer; Pyle clearly doesn't even deserve a shot at Hathaway after the way he smashed Sanchez who just before that was title contender for the Lightweight belt.
It just seems as though Hathaway is going down in competion as far as opponents go, but seriously this is MMA and so many flukey shit happens that Pyle could get a random flying triangle out of knowhere! :)
The reason Chris Leben beat Akiyama - is because he went after him and put it on him. If he hadn't done that, Chris would have lost; he beat him up and exhausted him.
I see Akiyama taking the alpha role in this fight and putting it on a "points' fighter and securing a 30 -27 decision, victory. For Bisping (to win), he would be well advised to take a leaf out of CL's book and go after him; but of course, he won't.
SA had two tough fights with CL and Alan Belcher and that's because they are tough fighters who bring it; Bisping is not (the improved Chris Leben) or Alan Belcher; he doesn't have the power or the chin(s).

Good point because Bisping's wins are never decisive....
I think Akiyama is going to Sub him, or wins via decision
It's going to be a draw due to bad judging
lets hope so bro.
Unless you count the no-names he has beaten...
this made me think of Bisping's Island

Bisping has become a "point fighter" so you are probably right, he'll snooze us to death with his point sparring.
Condit/Hardy should have been the main event, and looks to be ten times the fight that Bisping/Akiyama will be.
Bisping's last five wins - 3 TKO/KO & 2 Decisions.
bisping-points. hardy-points. hathaway-points.
for the people clicking weak. put your names up and lets see who scores the most points with their lowkick picks.
Akiyama via KO Round 1.
Condit via Split Decision.
Hathaway via TKO Round 2.
