That fight might not even receive sanctioning. When a fight is that uncompetitive, they get rejected. Sorry to Mr.Bispbing, but let's be realistic. Exactly where, in what aspect of the sport, does Bispbing have an advantage in that fight?

    Is there one single thing?

Bisping couldn't beat an aging Wanderlei Silva, and he is calling out Anderson SIlva? Suddenly he wins a decision (that he deserved, unlike the Hammil fight) and he is ready for a title shot? He is facking off his bird.

I think it would be best to say "I havent even considered that, but I wont step away from anything the UFC gives me."

Generally hes coming around and some of that ****iness(Rampage insert) has worn off and hes being more respectful.

i agree, but i would pay to watch that fight, because when anderson doesntt feel threatened he performs at top knotch, but when he is a lil scerrred he plays it safe. bisping got 2 percent better in his last fight, still cant finish fights. thats his MO. bisping would have the chance of russow vs duffee except russows chin is better than bispings for sure.

    yeah me too!

its time for bisping to fight real competition!

because the only 2 times he has he got beat up and KO!

and then goes back to b level fighters like Miller , he wins

and then start talking crazy shit about being the best what a joke!

but if he fight Belcher hes getting KTFO for sure!

I think Bisping will have to win a few more big fights before he even smells Anderson Silva. It may not be the deepest division in the UFC, but the Count is still not that close to the top.

I like Bisping, but it seems to me he's lost his aggression, which was one of his biggest assets. When he's tentative and not moving forward, his head movement isn't that great and good strikers can light him up.

If he doesn't solve this problem, he won't ever be a top contender.

Bisping wins a decision and all of a sudden he's a top contender (in his own mind maybe). I think just about every fighter would love to test themselves against Silva, and I'm sorry to say it Mr. Bisping, but you are pretty far down that list of names that come to mind as legitimate challengers. Bisping can convince himself of just about anything however, and I'm sure he has already convinced himself that he is the number one contender.

Did you even watch the video or did u just come right on the thread and start typing? He never said he was a contender. He said in this interview and at the post fight conference that he has at least a couple more wins to go before he would be in line for a title shot.

I know he never said he was the top contender, but my belief is that in his own mind, he is a top contender and always has been one. He appears at least to me that he feels like he should be right there in the mix even though he's not saying it out loud, and I am not a fan of the way he conducts himself after every loss. I guess my previous choice of words was misleading.

maybe not say never but he could at least say like forrest, I don't think I am ready. How do you enjoy a fight when you are most certainly going to lose. Forrest did not look like he was having fun, he would have fun if he thought he had a good chance like when he fought Tito, Shogun, Rampage. He was prepared for those. Bisping is not prepared for AS and maybe he will but keeping it real is good.

Wow, you guys did exactly what they said would happen....... Which kinda makes you tools. Anyways, he was asked about when he thinks he may be in line for a title fight...... Silva just so happens to be the champ. I like Bisping personally.... It was hilarious at the post fight conference when they were talking about the Vaseline getting in his eye and he says "I didnt want to look like a fagget" Dana White immediately goes "He didnt mean that" haha Thats great stuff.

Ive never been a huge bisping fan but it seems like he definitely has some humility now which is nice to see. I respect what hes done for the troops as well. Who knows with that attitude he may be able to get to a title shot.

I hate Bisping worse than Koshek. He's a whiney jack-ass. At least Kos backs it up and isn't a pussy. I loved it on the Ultimate Fighter when Henderson just bided his time waiting for the fight. Bisping was such a moron, continually circling towards his big right hand. The take-down attempt says it all about his arrogance. I wish Henderson had hit him again.

Who has Michael Bisping beaten other than Kang??? If he can beat Chael Sonnen, Nate Marquardt, Wand etc, then he's ready.

I'm a fan of this website and I appreciate the coverage, but the headline of this story threw bisping under the bus. Here he is being genuine and a good ambassador for the sport and the only thing that the glancing reader sees is that he "wants to fight anderson silva". No wonder everyone thinks that he's an arrogant assh*le, its because of editors trying to make the story juicier. He showed respect this time around and I think that he deserves a chance, especially when he's supporting our troops like that. He cares about the fans and I think we should at least hear him out and not bash him for saying he'll accept any challenge, cause he was by no means calling anyone out in this interview, despite the misleading headline.

Couldn't agree more. Everyone just loves to hate Bisping for some reason, I'm not sure I really understand it. People should really bother watching the interview before giving their opinions, and apparently everyone criticizing him in this interview didn't. He never said he was ready to fight Silva. He never said he thought he could beat Silva. He never called Silva out. He never talked shit about Silva. Jesus Christ people most of you are acting like sheep, just following the herd apparently unaware of what's actually going on.

Also - what 185er wouldn't say they want to hypothetically fight Silva? Asking someone if they want to fight Silva is the same thing as asking them if they'd like to be champ one day. Who the hell is going to say "no, I hope I'm never the champ." As long as Silva holds the belt, it's the same question.

    Wake up people.

I'm one of the few fans he has left but i wish he wouldn't go saying things like that. He is not ready for the likes of AS however good he may feel. He is on the right track but there is still a long long way to go and a lot of fights to win before he gets to that point. I happen to remember he had a lot of KO's in Cage Rage but even though he is still predominantly a striker the KO's don't seem to have followed him to the UFC. Maybe it's like he said in his pre fight interview, the fact that he's started fighting on his back foot after fighting wrestlers back to back and worrying about the takedown all the time, and of course, you don't generate the same kind of power, throwing whilst on your back foot or moving backwards. He says he is re training himself to plant his feet and move forward so we'll see.........

I know a lot of people hate on this guy but personally, i don't get why, he isn't all that bad really, don't all fighters have to be confident?, he's still improving from fight to fight too. Most of the hatred seemed to start when he fought Hendo and it just hasn't stopped since. I hope he has more success this year anyway...........
