Mauricio Rua dreams about being part of UFC 147

Earlier this month Quinton “Rampage” Jackson railed against the UFC, bemoaning the types of opponents he was being given and asking for his release from the organization with one fight remaining on his contract.
The UFC answered with a fight that seemed to fit Jackson’s style request, a rematch with the man that defeated him in August 2005 while they both fighters were members of the PRIDE organization, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.
Not long after the UFC announced the fight, Jackson said he would need surgery on both of his knees. Since that time there has not been much information from Rua, Jackson or the UFC regarding the fight.
That changed recently, with Rua breaking the silence, “I might fight in June or July, that’s when I hope to fight, but for now there’s no opponent in mind.” Rua was then asked if he wanted to fight on the upcoming UFC 147 card in Brazil, “Absolutely. I dream about being part of this card, even because it’s a huge event. I would really like to be a part of it. Let’s wait for UFC to define something.” - for more see Tatame.
As it stands now, it seems like Rua will not be waiting for a fight with Jackson. What that means for Jackson’s future is unknown at this time.

If Shogun and Rampage fight on this card (doubt it cause Rampage knees will need time to heal) it will surely be one of the best cards in a long time, if not ever. Nearly every fight is either super interesting or guaranteed with excitement.
Shogun vs Henderson II. Won't happen, but wish it would.
They should give Shogun an easy fight ,just in order to keep him busy and give him the opportunity to kick the ass of an AMERICAN beginner in front of his home crowd .
Or Maybe a great fight would be Machida Shogun 3 ???
I please let Henderson VS Shogun happen. I think Shogun could win a rematch.
i had him and hendo a draw
would love to see that clash of the titans again
why not rematch the #3 and 4 guys?
only other matchup that makes sense would be machida 3
he's not lined up with anyone yet, right?
He should be a part of it for sure. He shouldn't wait around for almost a year for Rampage to recover. He needs to fight as much as he possibly can. Life is short.
