Mitrione was the TUF sleeper. The nitwit, TUF producers and editors, made him out to be some kind of kook, when in fact the guy is smart and highly skilled.

We have seen a bunch of ex-football players making their feeble/failed attempts at MMA over the year but Mitrione is 100% legit!

Some fighters in TUF like to pose themselves as something theire not. Mitrione posed as a meathead, he made people believe he was "slow in da head" so he could do some small manipulation (like when he avoided fighting big baby). Later he appeared as a smart and soft spoken guy. Apparently he fooled everyone...

No bud, you need to understand more of how the reality show game is played. It was the PRODUCERS and EDITORS that made Mitrione out to be a kook.

That said, I don't think anyone who appears on that show comes across as the real person they are. If you look back over the years of TUf, most of the time it is always the worthless piss poor to mediocre fighters acting the fool for air time because they know it's the only 10 minutes of fame they will have.

The structure of a show like TUF isn't set up to showcase fighters with true potential because of the guys that have potential don't have the chemical make up to act the fool. They take their job serious.

Ratings rule the game of all television! Nitwits and freaks rule the air waves! Sad but true.

While some of this may be true. Unless the producers forced Meathead to say that he"had a talk to his wife, in his head", then he is legit crazy. Or atleast he made it that way

Actually bud, you are correct. In his most recent interview, prior to this one, Mitrione himself explained that it was an act to manipulate others in the house. He also said it was partly because he was "bored." He had me fooled tho, I couldn't stand him. A person's personality doesn't typically bother me if they are a good fighter, but a quitter annoys me. Especially if his presence in the house made someone else miss an opportunity. He proved people wrong tho. Nice to see he will get a step up in competition finally.

I hated this guy on the show and if it was an act, then he's a heck of an actor. He came across like a complete headcase. With that said, I haven't seen that guy since.

Matt looked great in his fight against Marcus Jones (a big man), he waded through Kimbo; for whatever that might be worth. He's a big guy, with big power and improving skills, if his cardio is good to go, this guy could hurt a lot of people. He seems to be tough and seems to be able to take a shot and not fall apart.

Having seen him being interviewed a few times (since the TUF show), I have to admit I've done a complete 180 on this guy. I really like "Meat". He's a pretty cool and funny guy, from what I can tell and seems a pretty decent chap. I wish him all the best in the HW and look forward to his fight. I'm picking Matt - by KO
