    Kampmann should have beat Shields, think his frustration will be taken out on Diego Sanchez!

    This will be a great fight. I'm a fan of both these guys; both of them have shown great skill and heart, particularly in their last fights.

    Kampmann gave a great showing of himself against Shields, even though he lost and Sanchez seems to have re-invented himself. Always known for his cardio, pace, tenacity and ground game, he now, post Clay Guida, has a very good stand-up game to go with it. A victory over Kampmann, particularly a stoppage, not a decision, would go a long way to cementing Diego's relevance in the division. A victory for Kampmann, would be a solid victory over (what is now) a solid UFC veteran.

    I am really looking forward to this fight; should be great. But then again, pretty much every fight Diego is in, is great; may the best man win.

    @wingchun. totally dis-agree that sanchez has a very good stand up game. He was out struck by john hathaway, in a hugely one sided fight and he is no way a top striker, he had no answer to bj penn for their whole fight, he didnt show very good striking against riggs , (yes thats before the guida fight but it shows he isnt improving his striking) he continually threw the same punch against thiago and won by taking him down and gnp, his striking didnt look really good.

    @ ck1

    I hate it when people "totally" disagree with me. Could you "partially" disagree? :-)

    I was not a fan of him moving back to 170, but he's a gamer, he's smart and he's back at Jackson's camp...I see a guy who had no stand-up when he came in and how much he's grown there; head kicks, upper cuts, etc. He had none of that when he came in.

    Call it bias - I like the guy. I've enjoyed every Sanchez fight I've ever seen and that includes the losses; he shows up, man. There is never any question as to DS and his willingness or preparedness, to fight.

    Cheers,

    @WingChun: I agree with ck1, Sanchez doesn't have good stand-up.

    He's way too stiff in his shoulders, which makes him more easy to read and his punches are slower than they should be.

    @ Ramiro

    He's improving; greatly - IMO. I am really looking forward to this fight, because Kampmann will be a good test for Diego's stand-up.

    And come fight night I expect to see a better DS than in his previous fight. We shall see whether or not he continues to improve.

    Cheers,
