Pound for Pound

Heavyweight

Light Heavyweight

Middleweight

Welterweight

Lightweight

Pound for Pound

UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre tops the list with a significant advantage over Anderson Silva. And unlike on other rankings around the internet, Fedor Emelianenko holds on the third place, despite losing to Fabricio Werdum via Submission back in June. The most surprising entry is Cain Velasquez, who managed to rapidly climb on a 7th place, after his impressive victory over Brock Lesnar at UFC 121. Also, Alistair Overeem occupies the 9th place, with a small advantage over the former UFC Lightweight Champion BJ "The Prodigy" Penn, who managed to hold his place on LowKick.com Community Rankings.

Heavyweight

MMA Legend Fedor Emelianenko kept his place as #1 Heavyweight in the World, receiving 4513 points from the LowKick.com Community. UFC 121 triumphant Cain Velasquez moved up to the second place, as the Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion and K-1 2010 Finalist Alistair Overeem closes the Top 3. Brock Lesnar moved back to #4, right above the next contender for the UFC Heavyweight crown, Junior Dos Santos. Frank Mir, Minotauro Nogueira and Josh Barnett close the list.

Light Heavyweight

No surprises here. Shogun Rua, Lyoto Machida and Rashad Evans close the Top 3 of Light Heavyweight rankings, as the youngster Jon "Bones" Jones occupies the fourth place. Former Champion Rampage Jackson closes the Top 5. The other half of the list headlined by Dream Light Heavyweight Champion Gegard Mousasi, with Ryan Bader, Randy Couture, Minotoro Nogueira and Forrest Griffin closing the list.

Middleweight

Anderson Silva is the undisputed king of Middleweight division, with 1,000 points above the #2 Vitor Belfort. The two will meet at UFC 126 on February 5th, but will Belfort's victory be enough to dethrone Silva from the top spot? Only time will tell. Strikeforce Middleweight Champ Jacare Souza occupies the 8th place, as Bellator's 185 King Hector Lombard closes the rankings as #10.

Welterweight

I don't know if to call it a surprise, but Jon Fitch finishes the month of October on the #2 spot of LowKick.com Community Welterweight rankings. Ahead of the next title contenders Josh Koscheck and Jake Shields. Also, following an exciting victory over KJ Noons this month, Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz closes the Top 5 of Welterweight rankings. Finally, despite the knockout loss to Carlos Condit, Dan Hardy managed to survive on the 8th spot on LowKick.com Welterweight rankings, as the "Natural Born Killer" two places behind on #10. Will he keep his place in November's list? Up to you, guys.

Lightweight

No doubt about the first place here, as Frankie Edgar sits on the top of the mountain as the best Lightweight in the World. BJ Penn will not be featured as a Lightweight in November, but still, the fact that "The Prodigy" is ranked as #2 shows the amount of credit he has from the fans. As for non-UFC fighters, Gilbert Melendez is #4, Shinya Aoki #6 and Eddie Alvarez is #7. Also, Due to having his second straight fight at Welterweight, Nate Diaz will be moved out of the Lightweight rankings. So LowKick'ers, there's plenty to vote for in November!

And, in my opinion, these are the BEST rankings i have ever seen, and i havent even voted on them myself. They undoubtedly kicks sherdogs ass.

Another argument why the cooperation of many is the best way to achieve good results. Democracy and lowkicks users FTW.

How did we end up with GSP as P4P leader?

The #1 criteria should be ability to fight and win at different weight classes!!!

Thats a bit of a misconception. I think its because people hear the word "pound" and think it has something to do with weight classes. Really, it has nothing to do with switching weight classes. Thats a dumb way to look at it. A fighter's ability to cut or gain weight has no bearing on their actual skillsets. It doesn't hurt if a guy can win fights in multiple divisions, but it has no direct impact on their p4p ranking.

I have to disagree. I think it has everything to do with pounds. That's where the term came from.

Gosh ! Alot of people still don't understand what Pound for Pound Means !!! It Means for example GSP is the same weight as Brock and they get in a fight with the skill of GSP would beat the crap out of Brock and vice versa If Brock is the same weight as GSP, GSP would over power and dominate Brock in the same manner. SO 1 pound of GSP compare with 1 pound of Brock simple as that !

you have to imagine if Brock walked onto the set of 'hunny i srunk the kids' and was zapped down size of Frakie Edgar, then Frankie and Brock had a fight, who would win?

Yeah he was at 205 where he lost to a lot of guys. I am not saying his striking isnt excellent but he's pretty untested at HW. Who has he faced? Brett Rogers? That's not really grounds for p4p material. As far as the belt goes he won it against a UFC drop out 3 years ago and has defended it once since then

Completely agree... Overatedeem hasn't fought anybody, and now SF has a strong HW division so there is no excuse. I don't doubt he's better than his anemic MMA record shows but he's not exactly going out there aiming to correct this problem.

Well his fights against Lil Nog, Liddell and Shogun he was winning them until he gassed, thats been his biggest problem in the LHW division, he used to cut too much to make that weight limit, if u watch those fights he was actually winning he outstriked lIddell and Nog and almost choked out Shogun but then he gassed and lost those fights but now that hes a HW I dont think that will be the case hopefully his next fight is against Werdum or Fedor so we can really see if he belongs up there or not

Either way, at the end of the day he lost which being p4p probly means that you are able to beat top fighters not make the fights competitive or almost win. Now with him being at HW, he hasn't faced legit competition yet. People are just buying the hype of the REEM toss

Some ppl classify p4p being that if two fighters fought, whose's skill set will win disregarding height and weight....if you go by that then Overeem has the best striking in MMA and his ground is really good also seeing that hes won Bjj tournaments in Abu Dhabi so from that point of view you can say he is top ten p4p

What bjj tournaments has he won? Agreed he has really good striking, not taking that away. I've seen the list of tournament winners and he's not amongst those. Also he's been untested against a solid wrestler and bjj well idk what tournaments you're talking about

The people on this site are not interested in women's mma like it is with men's (specifically UFC), but it is interested in eye candy and thus the site pretty much reflects that. You probably can get more specific in the overall (most common) generalized interest of the site.

Lol how did Hardy get caught, he got out struck and then KO'd, it wasn't like Condit was swinging wildly and luckly hit him, he planned it all out and used combination you can't just disregard that as Hardy getting caught....and everyone knows he didn't deserve that title shot he barely beat Davis and he lost two both top ten opponents he fought so ya I think he doesn't deserve to be on there

No point in arguing. You said yourself that you had "just started to gain respect for Hardy after the GSP fight." He lost now so that must prove he is overrated right? How does it feel to be a perfect example of whats wrong with certain mma "fans."

Just to explain you guys something about the Dan Hardy case. He had a lot of points before the fight against Condit, and still managed to hold his place in the rankings, even after Condit knocked him out. This is a beauty in our rankings - someone manages to hold into his place, and someone not.

With this being said, the fact that Dan Hardy ranked higher than Condit is not the worst thing I've seen comparing to other rankings. Some people would even agree with Dan Hardy being ranked higher.

Fedor is the best MMA fighter of all time. You people really need to realize that he is the michael jordan of MMA. He may not be in the UFC but he has beaten the top dogs and has so much heart and guts. He takes serious hits for his country and family. The man is a warrior.

Also look at every dominant fighter from pride that went to the ufc, They all lost the dominator stigma they had about them. Well one could say Shogun domination transferred over after his rough patch when he was injured. I mean look what happened to Cro cop when he came over/ All their "legendary" status quickly got devoured in the UFC. Fedor is the one big name that didnt make the transistionand hes fought only second tier fighters since leaving Pride. Therefore its how judge his current rankingwhen hes among champios who fight other fighters on the p4p list everytime they fight.

I dont consider Silva a Pride transfer, he was with other organiztions when UFC purchased Pride (mainly cage rage) but he only had 5 fights in pride, 2 being losses. So he wasnt one of the Pride legends I was talking about. And Nog only held an interim belt which he only had to beat sylvia to get, hes gone 3-2 since Prides purchase not really all that impressive

fedar will fight overeem or rodgers or wurdum, but it wont be until june or july. With a little bit of drama to go with it. Fedars man will say he may have a deal worked out with the UFC and then they will pull out and say DW is racist. Then he will have a contract worked out with Bellatar and then he will pull out and say the org is all about money and he is above that. Just examples :)

Fedor will never sign his rights away to Dana White. He has more sense than that. And he makes more money per fight than almost any UFC fighter, you can check the figures.

Also he would be the highest paid fighter in the UFC as well. The UFC offer was bigger than SF

Well Im just going off Dana's comment saying he would, back when UFC was going after Fedor right before he signed with Strikeforce. So its just how much stock you put in Dana telling the truth. I believed him, at that point it wasnt hard to believe that Dana would have made Fedor the highest paid fighter. I dont think he would anymore.
