Fedor, how do you manage to remain so humble considering you're one of the most iconic figures in the world of MMA? Also, do you ever get swamp ass while competing? You know, when you get all sweaty between your butt cheeks?

Randy Couture recently stated he was ready to retire from the UFC. The timing seemed to coincide with the promotion of the new EA Sports MMA game, which you both attended.

Was their a discussion of a possible future fight? Would you persue the oppertunity to fight Couture if he is soon to become a free agent?

    fedor,

you have been branded as the p4p best fighter in the world for many years. how did your loss to werdum feel with many people calling you overrated? also there are many rumors coming out that you are close to signing a deal with the ufc. any truth in that?

After your spectacular win over Brett Rodgers you became the number one contender for the Strikeforce Heavy Weight Champion. Why didn't you fight Alistair Overreem for the title? Was it a managerial and promotional issue? Who do you think should fight Overreem next?

Most people consider you the most accomplished, admired and respected fighter to ever exist. Do you feel a responsibility to use your incredible influence to do good through spreading faith and helping others? Would you consider becoming a politician?

FEDOR, I'VE GOT MANY QUESTIONS THAT I WANT TO ASK YOU, BUT I'LL LIMIT MYSELF TO 3:

A-- WHAT IS YOUR FIRST PRIORITY NOW: 1) A REMATCH WITH WERDUM OR 2) A CONFRONTATION WITH THE REEM?

B- CAIN, THE NEW UFC HW CHAMPION, COMES ACROSS AS A VERY HUMBLE, LIKABLE, AND HIGHLY TALENTED FIGHTER. I ALWAYS HE'S BE THE NEXT FEDOR. DO U SEE ANY SIMILARITIES BETWEEN YOURSELF AND YOU?

    3) ANY CHANCE, MINIMAL AS IT MAY BE, TO SEE YOU FIGHTING IN THE UFC AFTER YOUR CONTRACT ENDS W/ SF?

First of all its a honor and privilege to be able to ask some questions to a legend of the sport. I have two questions:

    - First, I would like to know who in your opinion is the best Heavyweight in the world and why, yourself included ofc.

    - Second, You have one more fight in your contract with Strikeforce, so who do you intend on fighting and why.

    Thanks in advance!

    I have a few questions:

    1. Fedor before your loss to Fabricio Werdum, what fight do you think posed the most threat to your unblemished record? In my honest opinion I think it was when Kevin Randleman suplexed you! would I be right in my assumption?

    2. who do you consider the top 3 pound 4 pound fighters in the world? (your allowed to include yourself)

    3. What are your thoughts on Alistair Overeem's recent comments where he said that M-1 Global are destroying your legacy?

    4. How close are you and Alistair Overeem on signing a deal to fight each other, as that fight is my dream Heavyweight match up in MMA?

    5. What advice would you give a young fighter, looking to start a career in MMA?

that is all, thanks in advance Fedor your are a true legend

    and much respect from Ireland

You have fought Werdum and Crocop and where set to fight Barnett, those guys are the only loses you brother Aleksander has, revenging your brother´s loses gave you a extra motivation for training against them?

and just as a comment, Fedor you took defeat in the most gracious way I have seen, you are true example of what a sport man is. Thank you for representing this sport in such a great manner...

My last question is related to the UFC/STRIKEFORCE, It seems that both promotions has been building deep talent in the HW division, the UFC has now a new HW champion and you said before that you follow him (Cain Velasquez) with one more fight in your contract with Strikeforce, would you bee interested in fighting for the UFC or would you rather to stay in SF? why?

notice than when fedor gets rocked or pressured that he comes at you, and when brock gets rocked or pressured he scuttles backwards or loses his balance and falls trying to get away from the situation. hl vid made me think of that.

In your fight with Andrei Arlovski at Affliction: Day Of Reckoning, it appeared that Arlovski was getting the upper hand during the fight under he got ****y and went for the flying knee, inevitably, giving you the opportunity to knock him out. My question is this: Were you in trouble during that fight with Andrei Arlovski?

Also, with only one more fight on your StrikeForce contract, does this mean we could potentially see you enter the UFC's heavyweight ranks?

First I'm followed you since your fight against heath herring, that was the first time I saw you fight and from back then I liked your explosif style and followed your fights.

    my questions are:

1- Why don't you fight more often, we want to see you fight at least 2 times a year?

2- I really really want you to fight in the UFC, is there any hope that you will one day compete against their HWs? I really want to see you fight Mir, Carwin, Dos Santos and specially Cain who I think can oppose you a real threat.

3- When are you going to fight overeem and rematch werdum?

4- Can you please submit werdum in the rematch :)?

    2. At M1 Global web site, most of your russian fans want you to wake up and get rid of your manager Vadim Finkilshtein motivating that he destroys your legacy and your future because all he care is immidiate money. Do you really agree with this statement?

I am really curious about the following

    1. Sambo is one of the most effective combat systems out there. it stemmed out of Judo and BJJ stemmed out of Judo as well. Doesn't it make sense to cross train with a BJJ specialist? I mean Fedor did head over to Holland to train with all sorts of MT fighters...

    2. you fight for your family and your country, but plenty of fans are mad about your dealings with promotions through M-1. can you clarify your position on your relationship with Evgeni Kogan and Vadim Finklestein?

    3. What is your motivation to keep going ? it seems like you've accomplished more in the past decade than any other MMA fighter ever has...

and finally we love you Fedor!!! just ask my dog, cat, snake, gerbil, and kid that I named Fedor :P

I have one question to you. Do you use any of the internet communication to keep contact with your fans? I mean do you write the teamfedor.com, Facebook Fedor Emelianenko, or twitter? Which site do you use?

    Thanks for everything, big rispect

Big respect to Fedor from the U.S.A.

Here are a few ideas for questions to ask...

1.) How do you like working and competing in America, as opposed to Russia, Japan, or other places you've been?

2.) American fans don't get much reliable information about your brothers Aleks or Ivan. Can you update us on how they're progressing in MMA?

3.) Are you still considering a political career in Russia? If so, do you foresee that changing your martial arts career?

    Thanks!

will you make a deal to fight in the UFC, because they seem to get their fighters to fight more often than other organizations?

    Dear Fedor,

what do you think of dana white as a person, a person who is always cursing and saying that you are not a great fighter and that you are scared to come to ufc.

I hope you stay at strikeforce and beat overeem and never go to dana- hype and lie fights up- white.

Fedor, I know you find it very important that you represent your country. Do you not think you can make Russia most proud when you defeat the UFC heroes and shows that you are the best? And do you not think this is more important than co promotion?

Fedor, do you find an advantage is your training methods over the more complicated exercises used in the West? It seems that more simple exercises that you use (running, body weight exercises,...) can be trained with more intensity as you become familiar with the movement, whereas changing exercise methods all the time may hinder growth. In theory what advantages to you see in your style of training and periodization compared to the training camps and exercises in the West? Thanks Fedor,

Who are your top 3 HW's ever apart from yourself?

    Who is your favourite fighter?

Is there anyone from Russia that is unknown in the USA with great potential we should know about?

What dream fights would you want to see if you could make the match ups?

Did you have some relief actually losing at last, as there was so much expectation on your shoulders and do you feel that weight has been lifted now, or was you impervious to the hype?

Will we still get to see you on the MMA scene after you retire or will you be fully involved in domestic politics then?

    Dear Fedor,

I've noticed that not many people seem to use Judo in MMA, yet you are easily the most prominent Judoka in the entire sport, not to mention the best MMA fighter alive. Why do you believe that Judo is so unpopular in MMA when it's a very well-rounded grappling style (takedowns plus submissions)?

How much Judo do you use when you fight? You are also a highly competent Sambo practitioner, and I believe you also have some general striking experience as well (boxing and perhaps more), so your abilities are quite balanced. Thus, I would like to know the importance of Judo in your game, since there is much you are capable of!

Thank you so much for taking time to answer my questions!

Fyodor you are an icon of the sport for more than a decade now, you are a perfect example of what MMA is or should be all about, both in the way you carry yourself and in the way you fight.

    My Questions:

    1) After all these years and having achieved so many, what is your motivation in your everyday training? Can you share some of the goal-setting you do before or during your workout?

    2) Sometime ago, when everybody was storming you with questions about fighting Brock Lesnar someday, you said the UFC fighter that you keep an eye for is Cain Velasquez. His dominating performance against Brock Lesnar proved that you were right. Would you find it interesting in the future to train with Cain and exchange some fighting ideas with him?

    Hi Fedor,

You have my sincere respect for not only being among the bravest of fighters but also for the way in which you conduct yourself. You are definitely a great example to look up to.

    I have two questions...

It has appeared to me that in your latest fights you have struggled a lot more than in the past. I recall that you have mentioned in the past about feeling older. This is the hardest question to ask any fighter or sports athlete but if anyone would be honest with themselves and their fans it is you Fedor.

    1. Many great fighters that you fought in Pride, like Mirko and Minotauro, have definitely seemed to have declined from their primes. Do you feel that you are in a decline from your prime as Heavyweight Champion of Pride or do you believe that you are still in your prime?

    2. Alistair Overeem made the fight with Brett Rogers look easy as he dominated him in his victory. What are your thoughts about that fight and why you had a more difficult time with Brett than Alistair did?

Fedor, thank you for taking time to be interviewed by our MMA Community and thank you for the many great competitions that you have given us fans.

    Dear Fedor,

Some fighters, f.E. like Cro Cop or Mark Coleman have stated in interviews, that for the last years they had been too focussed on their training camps, their sparring partners and training methods. Many fighters nowadays even travel to different (international) camps on a regular basis just to improve their "game". What do you think of this development and have you ever considered trying that?

Nobody can take away that kind of achievement from you or come anywhr closer to achieve something like that.

would you like to be champion of these two american promotions for mother russia????

    2) Dana white is not a good example for the sport of MMA dont you think shutting him up by beating his champion would change people's perception of this sports? would you give us ONE only ONE match with UFC champion. nothing much just ONE match deal with UFC before you retire. i bet you can do that.

Fedor, you identify yourself as a Christian. Jesus said, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). Do you consider yourself a born again Christian? Thanks so much.

    Dear Fedor

You are perhaps the only MMA fighter to connect really dedicated approach to orthodox Christianity and a top-level performance in this violent sport. Do you think religion has helped you keep the cool head all this time, and do you feel that it helps you cope with your last defeat.

Also, has your defeat made you change anything in your training and preparations, and do you feel additionally motivated now that the western media doesn't consider you unbeatable or place you on #1 spot on top heavyweights lists?

    Спасибо!

Best wishes in your future life from your orthodox brethren in Serbia and Montenegro,

    LMT

Since the UFC refuses to co-promote with M-1 because the financial risks of such a deal outweigh the financial rewards of signing you, are there any terms under which you would fight in the UFC without co-promotion? Why or why not?

Thanks from a fan who will always root for you no matter who you fight or where you fight.

Fedor, many fans are pleasantly surprised when they hear you speak English. There seems to be a reluctance to speak English in most situations, however. Would you please share your thoughts about this?

I would suggest that if you make a greater attempt to speak English in interviews, etc. to the American fans, the benefits to both you and the fans would be beyond imagination. From the fan's perspective, it instills a greater sense of connectedness when you speak English. And as for business and your popularity in North America, that can only be a good thing. I STRONGLY believe this will do nothing at all to diminish the perceived commitment on your part to the Orthodox Church or Mother Russia. In fact, it will only help in this regard.

Fedor, do you accept or appreciate the prayers and well wishes of a broader set of Christian brothers and sisters?

In some parts of the Western church, we call this the Church Universal. That is, those believers in different denominations, sects, etc. that subscribe to a central set of orthodox doctrines. We do not always know who these people are, but we can know what these essential doctrines are: original sin, a just God, virgin birth of Christ, death, burial, and resurrection, propitiation of sins on the cross, etc. So we know that we have brothers and sisters all over the world- God knows who they are.

In your position, your commitment to the church is seen as a form of service and ministry. I am very thankful for this. I give thanks to you, but mostly, thanks to God! ;-)

Everybody loses, people (Dana White) need to understand that. You will always be my favorite fighter, but the loss was your fault. Werdum is known for his ground game and i was hoping you let him back up. The second you went to the ground my stomach dropped. I would almost bet my house that you wouldn't lose to him again. My question: In a rematch with Werdum, What would be the final outcome in your mind? Thank you and good luck to whomever you fight next.

Fedor, you have a huge fanbase over here in South Australia's capital city, Adelaide. You should come over here and any other places in Australia for sparring/training seminars, it'd be awesome. What do you think? Like I said, your fanbase here is well worth it.

1- Your rise to the top in PRIDE showed some of the best ground and pound MMA had ever seen with your wins over Herring, Semmy, and Big NoG but you eventually transitioned into a stand up fighter as your career progressed. What was your reasons for the change and will we ever get to see a fight with a ground and pound strategy front and center?

2- You've been fighting for a decade now and accomplished more than any other MMA fighter to date. How many years do you feel you will be competing in MMA and also what will be your number one focus after retirement?

3- Being one of the smallest HW fighters out there, what are your thoughts on the idea of creating another division for the superheavyweights such as Brock, Overeem, Carwin?

You are a great and respected fighter. You have altered the landscape of the culture of the sport of mma- bringing it class, respect, humility, and good nature, and have done much to make it a more acceptable sport in the eyes of society. Your influence is felt in the mma fan community as well as seen in some of the fighters (I think Lesnars' recent drastic change in behavior is at least part due to your example, if one is to take the hint that he likes you and the way you handled your loss, as well as the behavior of Carwin, Velsaquez, and several other fighters.)

Whether you like it or not, being a public figure means people look to you as an example, and indeed perhaps your greater purpose (other than being a great champion) is affecting people's lives positively by being a humble, faithful Christian, and a moral, family and people-oriented person.

What would you say to today's generation who are growing up with ubiquitous negative influences and role models in their lives? What do you think about mma's current influence on young adults, and what would you change about it? Is this one of the reasons you choose not to compete in the UFC?

    Thanks and God bless,

    Michael

Hello Fedor, the world is dying to know the technique behind your so-called "looping-punch". You have never revealed it in your seminars and training videos and yet you have used it to defeat many of your opponents. Yes, I am it may be your secret, but if you could just tell us a little about it. And also, you seem to utilize the kick very rarely. Is this solely due to balance and risk issues or do you just feel more confident in knocking your opponents out via punches.

    Thankyou,

    Your no.1 fan, James

    Dear Emelianenko...

    ...once you've said:

"Years ago we hardly had anything to eat. Now I earn more money and I see every opponent as a man that tries to put me back to that poorer period."

That quote has changed my life and probably touched many lives around the globe too.

Now that you turned your life pages and you just cannot get back to that poorer period, what will you do to assist people that can`t face their own barriers as yourself using the tools that made you the greatest fighter ever known?

Hello Fedor... My question is about that Bruce Lee quality..."Thinking" Would you agree that very few fighters know how to use there ability to "Think" inside the ring. They swing and kick thoughtlessly, and do not seem to want to know how to do it any better. It seems to me that S.T.A.R.S like yourself possess almost a 6th sense of moment to moment intuition. Constantly changing and re-inventing your technique, until it is NIRVANA. So...I ask you this...Do you feel YOUR ability to think like a master, is a gift? Or can it be learned? Thankyou for your time.

    Fedor,

A few websites say you fought seven or eight amateur fights before your first professional bout against Martin Lazarov with Russian Top Team.

If this is true, what was it like fighting on the underground circuit in the years after the collapse of the Soviet Union? Where were your opponents from, what sort of men were they, and what rules were you fighting them under?

Was it less safe for MMA prospectsback then compared with amateurs today who have M-1 try-outs and so on to go to when they start out?

    Thanks,

    Jack

Last month you were elected to the Belgorod Duma. Will you find a way to reconcile your career as a fighter with your career as a politician, or do you think you will have to retire from the fight game soon?

Anton Gurevich is the author, by the way. He originally published this 1 month ago and we haven't heard a thing since. Anton sir, where are the answers to the questions everybody asked? And if you don't have Fedor's answers, then why haven't you updated everybody? This seems more like a dirty tactic to get people to sign up to Lowkick. It's like bait and switch which is illegal under Federal law and most state's laws. In otherwords, false advertising. Well, at least you got all those new members signed up, eh?
