Chuck Liddell, MMA legend and UFC super veteran will face off against Rich 'Ace' Franklin at UFC 115, and will look to get back to winning ways after suffering KO losses at the hands of Rashad Evans and Shogun Rua. Liddell, who has been out of action for over a year has been spotted in some gym photos looking in great shape and I for one hope that we see the Ice man of old in action against Franklin. Here is what Chuck about the upcomong match;

"Like I said, being in shape the whole time, it's not like I'm cutting a bunch of weight. I didn't take a year off and get fat. I've been in shape for a long time. I didn't start my camp at 250. I started at 224. I'm not worried about it. I'm in shape and ready to go. If Rich wants to push, I'll push him as far as he wants to go. ...I had plenty of time to adapt and prepare for Rich. It's not a factor. This guy [Rich Franklin] is a quality opponent and a tough guy. I am planning to knock him out."

Chuck's record stands at 21-7 with 13 knockouts, many of the hardcore MMA fans will know that Chuck has been knocking people out since the 90's and his recent form shows not much of what he is really made of. I hope we can see a comeback and a ko against Rich. Nothing against you 'Ace'.

    I'm going for Franklin in this one, Liddell is just too old and too slow, Franklin will most likely avoid the KO punches and win by decision

    I would love to see Liddel win but hes getting kinda old, slow. ect.

    Franklin could possibly take this win for sure.

    If Liddel was to fight him years ago, Liddel would have definetly schooled him.

    But its MMA, anything is possible and we will just have to wait and see.

    Nothing new there then........doesn't Chuck always want the knock out?...lol.....I think Chuck WILL catch Franklin at some point and it will be goodnight vienna. Franklin is also a good striker i know but Chuck is better and packs a lot more power, Chuck by TKO.......

    Franklin is too smart to try and stand and bang with Chuck. I expect he'll fight a smart fight and go three rounds for the decision. Either way, this is an important fight for both of them.

    I also got Rich by decision. For one I think Rich will only lose to people that can overwhelm him and two..... he's my favorite fighter.

    i respect your opinion and i can understand why your backing Franklin as he is a good solid, well rounded fighter, i like him too, he's a classy guy. I just think that Chuck will do just that, overwhelm him. I've also lost a lot of faith i used to have in Franklins chin, he doesn't take a clean shot too well these days and against Chuck that's disastrous imo. Whoever wins this fight it's sure to be a barn burner, neither of these guys know how to fight boring, can not wait............:D

    Extremely hard fight for me to pick. Chuck has my hopes, but right now Franklin stands as my pick..... My emotions say GO Chuck!!! But logic has me picking Franklin via decision. So for now thats my LowPick, but I continuously consider changing it.... Guess I wont know for sure until the last moment!!

    Will we finally see Chuck adapt his game and mix it up with some takedowns and kicks so that his hands can re-emerge as the true weapons that they are?

    As I understand it, Chuck was a wrestler way back when and also liked to kick, so maybe "finally adapt" is less correct than "go back to his roots."

    It seems like he's so confident with his hands (and I admit, for good reason) that even when he's not winning the standup, he's content to let the clock run while he waits for one good opening to show itself. Now that he's older and he's not in the championship rounds, I hope he mixes it up early so he's not stuck being down two rounds and needing the KO.

    As soon/if he KO's Franklin no one will say he's too old. I guess wins are more about age then performance in peoples eyes.

    its sad to see chuck carrying on when he obviously has lost his edge. once upon a time he was untouchable and he should retire before he gets seriously hurt. that edge of quickness and reflex that slows with age tells massively at the standard chuck fights at and its shown. I like both these fighters but cant help feeling we've seen their best long time ago. randy couture is a one off that i dont think other fighters should emulate.

    Try seeing things from Chucks perspective, h'es tasted that kind of success, bieng declared unbeatable as he once was, knocking out top contenders left, right and centre, it's hard to stop chasing a feeling like that surely, that's why he keeps fighting, i still think he is capable of beating a lot of top guys but does HE still believe it, i mean, really believe it, i hope so, i'd love to see him come back with a patented "Iceman" knock out but we'll see...............
