If he sees a weakness in his game he fixes it and comes to master it. Case and point would be his wrestling, a skill that usually takes years to develop. While some UFC fighters have been wrestling practically their entire lives, St. Pierre started wrestling much later than most, but today is recognized as one of the best wrestlers in MMA. In short, he took a weakness and turned it into a strength.
Recently, Leonard Garcia revealed that he has discovered another weakness of St. Pierre’s, namely a fear of heights.

You won't see Nicky Diaz act like a girl in any situation, leave alone something like fear of heights while running on a mountain. That hardly comes off as logical anyway.

Both Nick and Nate could learn something by this statement. Life is better with a smile. The problem is, they think their boys will call them punks if they don't look mad all the time. Reputation in the hood means more to the Dias brothers than quality of life. That is all there is to it. I hope they find a reason to smile someday, they have plenty.

GSP will destroy nick diaz. Im a fan of Diaz, his fighting style is always entertaining but he is not on GSP's level. i dont even think Diaz could be Jon Fitch.
His only fear is responsibility. He's afraid to leave Stockton, He's afraid to not have his boys behind him.... But he definitely is not afraid of GSP, which is all that matters.
We all have our own fears--be they of heights, flying, reptiles, or insects...This is human nature. Our fears don't diminish in any way the worth of such great fighters as GSP...He's no superman after all...

Im a fan of both....and I do agree that GSP can win but only if he doesnt gas out and dictates the fight by exchanges, takedown GnP... Diaz is great at pursuing you first the begining to the end. If you tire at any point in between, Diaz will turn he gas up and suffocate you. GSP or any fighter needs to take Diaz down and grind him. But you need to be carefull, cause Nick will look for the sub on his back.
Sounds more like he just didn't give a sh*t. I think you're projecting your own thought process had it been you that missed a press conference. "Sneaking away" is a dead giveaway, I seriously doubt this was Nick's reality at the time.

Shit i used to be in a bungee jump club, got over 50 jumps but did a jump called the ELEVATOR. & i was almost assed out NO HOMO......my family forced me to give it up after that shit.

Respect of heights is very natural reaction as it can actually kill you, pretty much like a respect for sharks is also a natural state of mind. For most people there is something like this that is simply taken to an extreme for whatever reason most likely childhood related. But its most often founded in some kind of logic.
Personally I think its the people that swim with sharks or take stupid risks when climbing that are truly bat shit insane.
Bat shit insane, usually. But these people are the ones that help the rest of us pussies who mi8ght be afraid of individual situations learn from what those situations have to offer. They didn't understand how a shark ate/breed/or socialized until people were man/woman enough to hop in the cage with the sharks and really study them.
It's like facing Anderson Silva.. Every fighter mouths off and says they would beat him and and act very forward, most likely because they have no probability of fighting him. The minute that cage door closes, opponent fighters (chael aside) have the same look on their face as the divers in the shark cage. Like, "Holy crap, what did I get myself into." However now that one person proves that this shark has weaknesses and can be intimidated. The Science of the Spider has changed. It only ever takes ONE PERSON to push that boundary and prove a point.
Fear is natural and recognizing Danger is smart. Claiming you can't move out of the ghetto because "You don't know how" is a lame ass excuse and nothing more when you have the financial means to do so. Heights is a fear you can overcome, The fear of responsibility is a tough one to break even for people in their 40's 50's and 60's.
