hahaha ... diaz, i hope you do retire. you've always been disrespectful of other fighters nomatter who they are ... the only bulls**t was that you didn't get to bully the fight the way YOU want it to go. every fighter has their way of fighting and carlos nearly TOTALLY nullified your every move ... the best fighter of the night DID win and you're such a baby throwing your toys out of your cot. i for one will not miss seeing you compete if you do quit because thats exactly what you're doing, you're not retiring, you're quiting. good riddence to such a disgustingly mannered person of this sport ... all you bring is negitivity so so long to trash.

anyone with even a small degree of intelligence should of saw this coming. diaz is a tough as nails guy who fights hard but always loses against decent opponents. condit exploited a huge flaw in diaz's game namely if you dont just stand in front of him and trade with him shot for shot he has no effective offense

if you mean refuse to fight by backing up as far as you can only to literately run away then yes he exposed lots of holes in diaz tonight, you cant fight somebody whos not going to fight you

i thought diaz won rounds 1 2 and 5 that was definitely a bullshit decision condit should have had a point deducted for stalling too

i am sure that once compustrike comes out condit will have been seen to outland diaz by quite a bit. although he was moving backwards he was the much more effective striker if you land more punches and kicks in my mind you are the aggressor regardless of who is moving forward

Here is my problem..Carlos talked shit about his weapons and knockout power.,,, but he fought a point fight. Fine. But that's all it was. I could have watched a better (more skilled) karate or Kung Fu point fight for less money. That fight was a draw. Could have made more money off a July rematch and a gsp November fight. Stupid on ufc part. Fight was a draw. Diaz 1 (barely) 2 (draw) 3 conduit (points barely) 4 (conduit barely) 5 Diaz. Draw. Rematch July.

Ouch, that's a hard decision to take!

I gave Nick rd 1,2 and 5 meaning 10(Nick) - 9(Condit) meaning 3 rounds out of 5 won, meaning...uhmm Nick wins right? Hopefully my limited mathematics is up to scratch.

Condit executed a great game plan against Diaz but IMO Nick was robbed by way of overall stats versus round by round wins.

That said, similar to Machida's style, Condit did a brilliant job of defending, evading (not running) and countering the offense.Cudos for that but I don't give Condit the belt. Judges need to judge consistently again this time getting it wrong (IMO).

I'm pretty annoyed right now that I don't get to see Diaz v GSP but hey that's just how the cookie crumbles.

Anyway, I hope Nick doesn't retire prematurely but if he does then I wish him all the best with either boxing or triathlons in his future.

Off to soak my sorrows in another Corona!

Ciao amigos! (All the way from Australia)

    KJ out!

it's funny how most people are giving diaz round 5 just because he took carlos' back...prior to that, carlos was still out-striking diaz AND when diaz did take his back, carlos defended immediatly and (peeps, watch the end of the fight again!!!) before the end of the bell, carlos mounted diaz and started throwing punches...so another 20 seconds and it 'mightve' been a decisive winner...we'll never know.

oh yeah...you diaz lovers...maybe diaz should'a been deducted a point for holding onto carlos' leg a good 3/4/5 seconds after the bell went...obviously being a c**t as usual

    landed strikes: condit 150 / diaz 105

plus there was more damage done to diaz!

walking into punches does not win you a fight!

    Simple really!!!
