Shaq is known around the world, has a huge following n everybody loves him basically so having somone like that promoting MMA would be huge imo

he would bring in hundreds of thousands of new fans, if not millions

Yeah, Shaq is mainstream, everybody who is everybody knows who he is. Movie producers, singers, dancers, fighters, athletes, real estate agents, car manufacturers and "pimpers", he knows'em all.



All Shaq has to do is throw up a gang sign and he can have the entire west or east coast wanting to buy tickets.

UFC is marketing to China... the most known US athlete in China is Shaq, especially to the same demographic that Basketball appeals to in China. Basically if Shaq tells Chinese kids hes retired and watches UFC all day its going to bring a lot of attention needed to make that push

Well, that's fair enough, but I wasn't really trying to say anything was 'racist.' Funnily enough when I was writing this comment I thought of Okami/Kim, but at the same time the Garcia/Phan fight stuck out in the back of my mind and the ''asian brother can't get no love'' line from Nam. Either way the decision was a joke, period.

Man that Poirier/Young fight was awesome, really impressed by both guys. Safe to say both have a good future in the sport! Best fight so far.



On another note Beltran/Rosa was a pretty decent brawl, alotta nut shots though.

Cain vs JDS is going to be my first ever UFC fight that i refuse to pick who winning.... JDS reallly showed alot in this fight, his take down defense is great and even his wrestling was greatly timed
