Kongo Is Out.... But Is Mir In??

While he believes that he is likly to face Mir, nothing is official yet.
Roy Nelson said he will formulate a game plan for both of the fighters.

A win over Mir would get Nelson up the ladder faster, than a win over Kongo.
ya, i think Nelson will beat Mir if they fight...cause nelson has defeated mir in the past in a grappling fight and i no this is mma not grappling but the way i see it is that both have basically the same stand up skills but nelson has better ground...so i think he will pull it off
Mir's stand up is light years ahead of Nelson's. If it stays standing Mir wins. On the ground it will depend on who has the better jiu jitsu. That tournament was a long time ago. I don't think we can say who is better based on that.
Definitely and i think that its possible. Just gotta catch him with one. On the other hand we all know Mir probably has more weapons in his arsenal. Even tho I dont like Mir.....
Yes, Mir is most likely to win this out of sheer unwillingness to be embarrassed. I hope Big country can pull it off. It's so much more entertaining to watch a guy like him beat the heck out of the guys in his division.

Mir was the for HW champ, and twice the number 1 contender. relisticly it should ut nelson in contention, but the HW ranking system is really messed. lossing to number 1 guy (the champ) puts you out of the top five. Even if he wins he would still be behind JDS, and Cain in the UFC's rankings.

This is a much better match. Winner should get JDS or Velasquez. then a possible title shot.
I think this fight would be really close. Roy has knockout power but can he hit Mir with it? Mir hasn't got hit with big bombs from the outside lately. He's only been hit big in the clinch. I would have to take Mir.
