Kenny Florian: Jose Aldo has no weaknesses

Former UFC Lightweight title challenger Kenny Florian shared his thoughts about a potential fight against the reigning UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo. Florian, who defeated Diego Nunes via Unanimous Decision in his UFC Featherweight debut at UFC 131, currently considered by many as the #1 contender for Jose Aldo's crown.

Thirty-five year old Kenny Florian fought twice for the UFC Lightweight title, losing to Sean Sherk at UFC 64 (Decision) and BJ Penn at UFC 101 (Submission). If Kenny Florian steps inside the Octagon to fight Jose Aldo for the UFC 145 belt, it might be his last chance to become a Champion in the UFC.

if your the no.1 contnder and in the hype its given that you can say things like that he acknowledge bj penn as one legend of the sport saying it his master. this is a good fight florian is right with the no weakness part he is a good analyst of the sport and should come up a good game plan for that fight

Bust a Jake Shields, poke eyes until blind, then fight a one eyed fighter and potentially win some rounds. (I do not condone it though)

Yeah I am cracking a joke lol. Im pretty sure Shields did it by accident, but sometimes I wonder. But I give him the benefit of the doubt haha. I make comments that might seem one sided often but usually I am just kidding

This should be a great match up! Although his fight in Toronto was less than stellar, he has the biggest legs I have ever seen on a guy that size!

I think Kenny has a chance to beat Aldo by decision and if he wears him down enough he might be able to sub him in the later rounds. KenFlo is a smart fighter but he needs to watch out for those haymakers from Aldo. Aldo can throw combos with power and that will give Kenny some problems for sure.

its a hard fight to call aldo is still something of a enigma he has looked great against sub par opponents but his last outing against his first legit opponent was less than stellar. although that could be accredited to a long lay off and injury. my guess that aldo has the edge in speed and in the standup while kenny has the edge in the cardio and grappling

He has fought top notch opponents. Just because that was his first ufc fight doesn't make your statement true. He beat the crap out of faber. Far worse than Cruz did. Look his fights up before making those statements. He also beat the crap out of hominick. Homenick just has heart and stayed in there with his cardio.

sorry manny and brown are not top notch opponents and faber is like half the size of aldo and extremely overrated and yes he did beat hominick but he clearly gassed and was almost finished in the last round like i said not impressive

That's a bunch of crap. Faber is widely respected in the mma community of fighters. So the opinion of a guy on the Internet doesn't matter much to me. Hominick also had his ass beat for four rounds. Jose gassed which he never has done even against fabers constant assault. It leads me to believe the antibiotics from his infection had something to do with his weight cut fatigue. You don't have to be a genius to watch Aldo fight and know why he is considered a top 5 lb for lb fIghter. He fought everyone available at 145 so you saying he had no competition is just stupid. He came to the ufc as the first champ of that division from his former championship in the WEC. The ufc never had a 145 lb division so where was the competition he was supposed to fight?

You are clearly new to these lighter weight classes. Aldo expressed he was not in the same shape as usual for that fight due to his circumstances and all of us who knew anything about his ability to hang in the later rounds could see that. Faber could push a pace far superior to Hominicks and would likely beat Hominick in a fight too. Aldo was at his worst and still handily beat Hominick up until the last round. Brown is getting old and was a monster of the division up until his fight with aldo and same goes for Faber. Faber is really small but has always been the toughest test for any opponent.

Kenny hasn't fought anyone as hard hitting or quick as Aldo. It's gonna be a wake up call for the guy if this match up is made.
