“I’m feeling great about my knee already. I think another 10 days I’ll be 100-percent,” dos Santos told Jon Anik on the UFC 142 Rio post-fight show on Fuel TV on Saturday night. “I’m training boxing, I’m lifting weights, but I can’t train jiu-jitsu yet. But I think another 10 days and I’ll be training normally again.” - via MMAWeekly.com

Newly-crowned UFC Heavyweight champion Junior "Cigano" dos Santos will have a mountain to climb when he fully recovers from his knee injury to face the current #1 contender "The Reem" Alistair Overeem. According to the UFC President Dana White the fight between the two heavy-hitters is currently in works for summer, after both fighters expressed their desire to heal-up. However, dos Santos' speedy recovery could allow the bout to take place in May, with sights on headlining the traditionally-stacked Memorial Day fight card. Dos Santos himself spoke about fighting Overeem in Brazil, claiming that the experience of fighting for the title in front of his home crowd would be "special". JDS served as a cornerman for his teammates at last night's UFC 142 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

I disagree. They will hype the hell out of this fight! Reem is the new Lesnar.

He said yesterday that he will stand with the Reem, when asked why he just said because that is how he rolls - f**ing great.
