“I’m feeling great about my knee already. I think another 10 days I’ll be 100-percent,” dos Santos told Jon Anik on the UFC 142 Rio post-fight show on Fuel TV on Saturday night. “I’m training boxing, I’m lifting weights, but I can’t train jiu-jitsu yet. But I think another 10 days and I’ll be training normally again.” - via MMAWeekly.com
Newly-crowned UFC Heavyweight champion Junior "Cigano" dos Santos will have a mountain to climb when he fully recovers from his knee injury to face the current #1 contender "The Reem" Alistair Overeem. According to the UFC President Dana White the fight between the two heavy-hitters is currently in works for summer, after both fighters expressed their desire to heal-up. However, dos Santos' speedy recovery could allow the bout to take place in May, with sights on headlining the traditionally-stacked Memorial Day fight card. Dos Santos himself spoke about fighting Overeem in Brazil, claiming that the experience of fighting for the title in front of his home crowd would be "special". JDS served as a cornerman for his teammates at last night's UFC 142 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Jds ftw imo!
I still think this fight will happen in the summer.
Don't let him train with Palhares!!!
Sweet! If hes 100% in 10 more days I dont think we will have to wait until June to see him fight Overeem! ;)
Alistar kicked Lesnar in his operated stomach. now he will aim at Juniors knee...
If he knows that the knee is weak spot why not man? :)
And JDS will aim for his chin ;)
dos santos gameplan has to be to take overeem into rounds 2 and 3 this fight should be awesome much more exciting than lesnar v overeem imo but it wont be as hyped
I disagree. They will hype the hell out of this fight! Reem is the new Lesnar.
He said yesterday that he will stand with the Reem, when asked why he just said because that is how he rolls - f**ing great.
JDS by TKO... btw
jds tko 3rd round also id like to see him clinch in round 1 and 2 but just no sloppy shot or those knees are a comin
