I agree....Cain was impressive to say the least but I'm still going with Dos Santos, mainly because hes one of my fav heavyweights and also his hands are prolly the best in UFC and his takedown defense is solid

Junior Dos Santos is a serious thread for Cain since he has more power , but as soon as Cain feels hes losing the stand up ( if that the case who knows) he will just take him to the ground.

Cain can take any one down!!

and after that it could be another Cheick Kongo fight Ground and Pound all Day.

the only one who can really beat Cain is Carwin.

I don't think that would be very smart but it's not like I'm always right.

So hard to pick because I've yet to see JDS stop takedowns from any top wrestlers like Cain, Velasquez has shown everyone that he is willing to take the fight wherever it goes, standing or on the ground, hes comfortable, hes probably the more complete fighter, JDS definetly has it in him to beat Cain, but Cain has a slight edge on him

santos doesn't need to stop takedowns when he can submit him from his back.

Who says he can submit Velasquez. We r yet to see his jits skills who knows maybe he cant take the ground and pound or maybe he will, we just have to wait and see but i give the edge to Velasquez due to his all around game.

JDS is also more technical than Brock on the ground and on his feet. I have JDS in this one.

Technical? You're basing this off what?

I was also talking more about wrestling. Dos Santos doesn't have the wrestling credentials that Cain has and we've seen time and time again, wrestlers shutting down even some of the best BJJ guys

He's better at boxing but what in the world makes you think he has better BJJ? Have you seen him train in training camp? Because we sure haven't seen it in a fight

He trains at team blackhouse with anderson silva and the nog brothers. Plus he has a brown belt in BJJ. And you don't see much of his jits becasue he KO's most of is oponents in the 1st round. Cain has no belt in BJJ.

Thank you for proving my point. NO ONE HAS SEEN HIS BJJ. How do you know it's so amazing if you haven't seen it!!!! As far Cain having no BJJ belt, it wouldn't matter if he had one or not b/c you don't need a belt to be a great grappler but yes he does have a belt.

Your delusional, I just stated facts. I never said he had amazing submisions. But training where he does I would bet he knows his way around on the ground. And yes he does have one guilitine victory. But he has been armbarred before too, so he's probably not cream of the crop BJJ. Go work out or something you sound tense.

A guillotine huh? I think Lashley has a victory with one of those too. And someone you make sense? lol. You're making assumptions but you've never seen it happen and that's what I'm saying... you don't know!!!! For all you know his bjj is sub-par

The Nogueira's say that JDS has a wicked ground game. We might be able to see it in action during this fight. It's gonna be a good one!!!

@ Jamz: What are you talking? No need to stop takedowns? We´ve seen many times that great wrestlers like Cain can dominate great BJJ fighters.

It depends what they do after the takedown. Stall for time does not get in my bonus book. Most of them don't know what to do when their in the ground. Unless they have stone hands or submission skills all they do is lay and pray. In Japan you get no credit for takedowns if do not do anything (the way it should be). In USA wrestiling is dominate here and factors huge into judging. And don't forget that mma has been changed over the years to favor stand up fighting and wrestling with the stand ups and 5 minute rounds.

Question here would be: can JDS take a punch? We know Cain can. That might very well be the deciding factor here. Cain will get in tight, duck his head and swing.

Everyone said Brock had a great chin after Carwin, but look at how fast Cain rattled and dropped him. Might have not been a clean KO, but had the fight went on, I'm sure you would of seen Brock out cold.

I seriously don't think JDS has a chance. Cain will utilize leg kicks and punches and push JDS against the cage and then drop him and pepper him until his will is broken.

JDS is not going to stop the take-downs. And Cain's striking is superior. Will be a tough fight for Junior.

Both are young and have good cardio. We have not seen JDS wrestle, but I could believe that his BJJ is solid since he trains with the Nogs. It should be very interesting fight. Both are hungry.
