The question as to who Josh Koscheck will face at UFC 143 has been answered; his opponent will be Mike Pierce.
Koscheck was originally scheduled to face Carlos Condit on the February 4 card, but when UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre blew out his ACL during training, Condit was moved to the main event. Condit will now face Nick Diaz for the interim Welterweight title while St. Pierre is on the mend.
Koscheck last fought on September 24, knocking out Matt Hughes at 4:59 of the first round. For Pierce, his last bout came on November 12 of this year, when he earned a split decision victory over Paul Bradley.
Speaking about the fight, Pierce said, "I had an opportunity to fight him earlier on in my UFC career, and I won't use the term ducked, but he kind of skirted the issue to his teammate, Jon Fitch, instead. I think I'm ready for this, and I would love to kick his ass." – for more see MMAJunkie.com

Pierce has a punchers chance in this fight imo something like what Paulo Thiago did to Kos because I think Kos has better stand up, wrestling, more power in his hands, hes bigger, stronger and prolly better cardio too, don't see him losing this one
ill take Mike Pierce for the upset!
Josh Koscheck via Unanimous Decision.
Pierce is tough as nails; can't see Kos finishing him.
Koscheck has fought top guys and he beat a lot of them. I don't think Pierce will be able to beat kos in any area.
