It appears former Sengoku Champion Jorge Santiago is not especially concerned with the improved striking displayed by Demian Maia in his latest effort. Santiago was widely ranked among the top five Middleweights in the world before coming up short against Brian Stann at UFC 130. Now set to square off with the one time title challenger, Maia, at UFC 136 in October, the Florida based fighter will look to reclaim his place among the division's elite.
UFC 136 is set to take place October 8th from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The stacked card will be headlined by Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard III, while a second title clash between Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo and Kenny Florian will serve as the co-main event.
