Jon Jones walks away unscratched from a Car Accident; The fight against Ryan Bader is still on

UFC Light Heavyweight contender Jon Jones got himself in a card accident, just 16 days before the long-anticipated bout against Ryan "Darth" Bader at UFC 126. Jones's Chrysler 300 will need some extra repair, but luckily, "Bones" left the accident unscratched. Here's what Jon Jones said on Twitter (@jonnybones):

"I just got into a car accident, police said it wasn't my fault.. I walked away without a scratch, GOD IS GOOD.... Hopefully, I get blessed with one of the fight bonuses, my insurance hasn't kicked in yet and I may have just taken a major loss… Everyone's okay, me and some teammates were on our way to the dog park in between practices, good thing we were all wearing our seatbelts. I refuse to allow this situation to steal my joy, the fight will go on."

The fight against Ryan Bader could determine the next contender for Shogun Rua's UFC Light Heavyweight title, which will be on the line at UFC 128 in March. Jon Jones is currently 11-1 in his MMA career, having his only loss via a controversial DQ in a fight against Matt Hamill. Ironically, only one week ago Jon Jones's teammates played a prank on him by re-parking the very same car away from the Greg Jackson GYM in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Jones walked away unscratched in that car accident. Can't wait to see how he looks once Bader hits him with a train.

i think that 702BOXX was directing that comment at wartaal677 to make fun of his stupidity.

Wow, I am glad everyone is ok. Bones has such a good head on his shoulders. For him to say "good thing we were all wearing our seatbelts" after such a scarry event is really great as the guy has a lot of people who look up to him and he is setting a good example to others. Good on ya Bones.

This is probably the same mentality he will take on when he gets into trouble in a fight.

The driver in the car that hit him was found beaten to death via ground and pound, however, witnesses say that the dead man won the fight because Jones used 12 to 6 elbows.
