According to MMAFighting.com, reigning UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones will put his title on the line for the third time at UFC 145 in Atlanta, Georgia. The event is set for April 21st, with Brendan Schaub vs. Ben Rothwell and Rory MacDonald vs. Che Mills as the most intriguing match-ups currently confirmed for the card.

Jones revealed during UFC on FX 1 post-fight show that he's "hearing rumors" about a possible return at UFC 145, adding that Rashad Evans, Phil Davis and Dan Henderson are all in the mix for a shot at the title.

Apri 21st date works against Rashad Evans and Phil Davis, who will have to avoid serious injuries during their encounter at next weekend's fight card. UFC 145 gives three months of preparation for the UFC on FOX 2 winner, something that could work in Jon Jones' favor. Such situation raises Dan Henderson's cahnces to get a title shot to 50%, especially since the UFC President Dana White still refuses to give a clear statement about Phil Davis' place in the mix.

Jon Jones himself had one month to prepare for the fight with Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 128, after beating Ryan Bader at UFC 126. Jones went on to defeat Rua via TKO in Round 3, becoming the youngest ever champion in the UFC history.

Bones fought four times in 2011, more than any champion in the UFC.

If that is the scenario, on the 28th i will become a Chael cheerleader. The only way Chael or Hendo beats Bones is to enter the octagon & unload a clip into his knee.

Sounds like it'll be Hendo. If Rashad wins I doubt Mr.Glass will stay injury free. No matter what he says he doesn't want to fight Jones.

I have to agree with you....He is always getting hurt...glassman is a great name....

Everyone talks alot of junk about wanting to fight Bones but no one seems to really be the threat to beat him. Paycheck collectors....

If Rashad wins and stays injury free and wants to fight Jones he will but if Phil Davis comes out on top I doubt he will be given a shot at the title, Hendo is going to get it in my opinion.

I think hendo should be given another good fight because his only fight back in the UFC was too close to call.... If thats the case it dosnt count...

He needs a good win in the UFC to challenge the champ...

I really don't see how hendo has anything at all for jones. He beat (barely) a shogun that looked terrible. It certainly was not the shogun that beat machida that faced hendo. Hendo of course has a chance just not a very big one. I think only machida working on wrestling and bjj has a chance in this division. Buy who knows.

    Completely agree.

He has one shot, and that's landing his right. Hell, he could have easily gotten a draw against Shogun for laying on his back for the entire 5th round.

We're talking about the same guy that got outwrestled by Jake Shields for 5 rounds.

Everybody said the same about Velasquez and Machida.

Everybody has a certain style or fighter that has their #.

I think Evans makes short work of Davis and finally fights Jones and then gets slaughtered by Jones.

If and when Rashad fight Jones....I truly believe he will be humiliated worse than all the fighters before. Jones will be patient, picking his shots, once he sees Rahad dazed and confused, it will be another Shogun replay from their last round.... You might have to book two hospital beds for rashad

Its probably for the same reasons we cheer for the 5ft tall basketball player who keeps scoring. I dont have anything against Jones, I just dont click to his personality is all.

The Hendo fight should be interesting, his stand up is predictable, but he'l have 5 rounds to land that H-bomb.

Really hope Hendo gets a shot. If it doesn't happen now it never will. I have 0 interest in seeing Hendo fight Anderson again. He is simply too old to put it off and he deserves it imo.

he's cleaning up this division so fast, that i'm ready to see him fight heavyweights like cain or allistair or even jds. i don't see anybody beating him in lightheavy unless they connect with that perfect strike. skill and size wise, he's to good for that weight.
