Fresh off of his dominant victory over Mauricio "Shogun" Rua at UFC 128, newly crowned Light Heavyweight Champion Jon "Bones" Jones is scheduled to appear on this Thursday's edition of NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno."

UFC President Dana White broke the news earlier today via Twitter:

The invitation to appear on the show follows an impressive weekend for the 23-year-old New York native.  In addition to dethroning the legendary PRIDE veteran to become the youngest Champion in UFC history, Jones also subdued a thief just hours before Saturday's match-up while attending a local New Jersey park.  After chasing the criminal down, "Bones," alongside two of his Jackson's MMA coaches, were able to retrieve a woman's stolen GPS and restrain the crook until police arrived on the scene.
