Yeah You're right I forgot about them, but I think silva will win 1 round KO than everyone will be back on the silva bandwagon talking about he's back when in fact he's never left.
People won't jump on the bandwagon if he wins, people will just pick X fighter out of a hat and claim he's the perfect match to beat anderson, or they'll claim he should do something like fight at HW or the worst matchup at LHW or drop to WW or something else stupid.
Its all for promotion though, Once he wins we all know he will destroy Okami but they will hype the fight sayin Okami is the last person to beat him even though its was clearly a DQ
I agree and I am a Silva fan, but I actually think Okami has a great chance... Style wise, probably the best chance right now. Of course there is always the possibility that a striker like Belfort could catch him and win by knockout tho.
The reason that they have been reluctant to push Okami as a contender is clearly the marketing issue. He isn't the most exciting fighter, stylistically or personality wise. If he were to beat Silva, it would not be in exciting fashion... and then they have their p4p champion replaced by Okami, who they've deemed unmarketable.
Right, just like he was going to "destroy" Sonnen, too.
I called the Sonnen fight exactly as it happened, down to the late submission loss, and you can quote me here as saying that if Okami gets a shot at Silva, he's going to do a similar version of what Sonnen did, perhaps with not as many takedowns but still complete control.
Why do people still refuse to acknowledge the FACT that wrestlers are Silva's weakness. Hendo round 1 before he got sloppy, Sonnen all ****in' day, and Okami wouldn't be any different.
Even Daiju Takase outwrestled him before submitting him. Mark my words, Okami will beat Silva.
both are round 1 KO's. after seeing what he did to Vera and Hammil, I dont think Bader's wrestling is too much for him to Chew. Vitor is gonna come out and just go straight at him. Silva is gonna try to dance, Vitor is gonna cut him off and hit him harder than hes ever been hit.
I don't think it's hard to call what so ever... Bader is a GREAT fighter but he doesn't have a chance in hell. Jon Jones is too slick and innovative.
He's a complete hybrid fighter in it's truest form and aside from a lucky punch I honestly don't see anyone in the world testing him. EVER.
The only type of fighter who could defeat Jones right now is a bigger, stronger, more powerful wrestler with solid striking defense, who could avoid his flashy striking and plow through him to the ground, grinding out a decision or possibly a TKO.
But you're not gonna submit Jon Jones and you're not going to phase him on the feet, he's too slick, durable and crafty in all areas. Period.
Fontez - your 3rd paragraph pretty much describes Bader. Jones is a tall fighter, Bader is shorter and very explosive, I can see him getting in under Bones, taking him down and grinding it out.... guess we'll see though.
Bader will get destroyed by Jones if he puts on a similar level of performance to his last fight. I was not even bader was worthy of the win against Nog and if you watch the fight back he comes off worse in many of the exchanges. Imagine what Jones is gonna do. Well we don't have to after this weekend we will all see what Jones does to him. Anything can happen in MMA but I will very surprised if bader manages to trouble jones with anything at all.
I think Jones going to keep Bader at a distance for a moment. And delivery some awersome strikes. Then close in for the kill. But not to say Bader is a push over. I believe Jones's stand up will be the different maker.
I really want to see some standup fighthing from Jonny boy. He dind't look like he wanted to stand against Vera who is primarily a striker, yet he opted to take down guys with wrestling as their strengths.
...because he's finished almost every fight he's been in, dislocated Matt Hamill's shoulder with a tripslam, almost knocked out Stephan Bonnar, broke Brandon Vera's face in three minutes, and crucified Matyushenko in less than two. Overrated indeed.
maybe Jones is overrated, maybe he isn't. I think bader is overrated after his last performance. he was unable to adjust to the situation adn was lucky to get the win, I think Jones is gonna walk through bader quite comfortably.
bader will pull it off, jones has never fought any body as tough as bader, hes fought tough people like bonner and vera but nobody with as much skills as bader.
Comments
Jones is a beast, this will be a Great fight Possibly fight of the night.
With Anderson silva and Belfort on the card i dont know if any other fight could be fight of the night lol but i say jones by KO late 2nd round
I dont think Jones will stop Bader but Im pretty sure he will beat him...Bader is tough but I dont see him beating Jones
Yeah You're right I forgot about them, but I think silva will win 1 round KO than everyone will be back on the silva bandwagon talking about he's back when in fact he's never left.
i dont see him ko bader.
AGREE....JONES ALL THE WAY
I agree with you on the A. Silva comment.

Jones over Bader for sure and Vitor will destroy Silva in the first round.....watch it happen.
Vitor will absolutely dominate Silva....KO in first round

vitor ko !
Im gonna call the upset: Bader by decision.
but I think if anyone's gonna break Bader's undefeated streak it will be Bones Jones. hard fight to call.

Come on Jon, don't let less entertaining fighter win
I have my money on Jones. If it was the World's Strongest Man Competition, Bader would definitely have the edge.
Pretty sure it's spelt "sleeve" not "sleave". Just saying :-). Looking forward to seeing what's up there though.
Both guys are class acts for sure. Would like to see Bader win tho.
I think Jones going to keep Bader at a distance for a moment. And delivery some awersome strikes. Then close in for the kill. But not to say Bader is a push over. I believe Jones's stand up will be the different maker.
I want to say Bader will take the Unam. dec, but I've come to learn that Jon Jones will out wrestle the wrestler, or out strike the striker.
I really want to see some standup fighthing from Jonny boy. He dind't look like he wanted to stand against Vera who is primarily a striker, yet he opted to take down guys with wrestling as their strengths.
bader is gonna smash jones every round, jones is over rated.
...because he's finished almost every fight he's been in, dislocated Matt Hamill's shoulder with a tripslam, almost knocked out Stephan Bonnar, broke Brandon Vera's face in three minutes, and crucified Matyushenko in less than two. Overrated indeed.

bader is gonna grind him for 3 rounds for the decision.
dont be suprised if there a two upsets i also wouldnt be suprised if there were none
Bader underated and he gonna pulls off this fight.
Most anticipated card in a long time, in my opinion.
bader will pull it off, jones has never fought any body as tough as bader, hes fought tough people like bonner and vera but nobody with as much skills as bader.
And Bader has never fought anyone as skilled as Jones either, it's a two way door that one. If Bader wins i will never post on lowkick again.
