UFC Insider: Jon Jones and Rashad Evans talk about their mutual hatred

Once again, Jon Jones and "Suga" Rashad Evans discussed their conflict, which will finally come to conclusion (it's about time!) at next weekend's UFC 145 main event clash in Atlanta, Georgia. Jon Jones is currently on an amazing six-fight winning streak, with three title fight victories, against Shogun Rua, Quinton Jackson, and Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida. Jones is already the most consistent 205 champion in recent memory, but if victorious against Evans, he will come one step closer towards beating Chuck Liddell's record of most consecutive UFC Light Heavyweight title defenses - 4. Rashad Evans was unable to defend his title even once; "Suga" was knocked out by Lyoto Machida five months after winning the title against Forrest Griffin (via TKO) at the stacked UFC 92 fight card.

Rashad Evans (via the UG)

"--The history? I made that history! What are you talking about? I'm the one who helped make that history! You're the one who came into it. You came into it! Don't talk about the history, when you have no roots in the history! Don't talk about -- I helped make Greg Jackson! I helped make him the reason why you even wanted to come there and train. So, don't talk to me about the history of the team, bro! Don't talk to me about the history of the program because, motherf*cker, I made that program!"

While I believe that Rashad should get over this whole Greg Jackson drama, I understand how he feels "displaced" by the new star-- which he (mis)reads as being "betrayed..." The deep origin of the "hatred" may just be "envy" or territoriality--that very old seed of all human sorrows...

I wish Rashad would defeat the new lion king, but I really doubt...Jones is on a totally different level...

This rivalry is soooo bitter sweet! Jones is starting to let Rashad know how he really feels about the whole situation. This is getting intense and coming to a head as the fight draws near........... Damn! I can't wait till next weeks conclusion with this interview!

I believe truly that Rashad is going to win..with that being said Jones will win, and I will kick a f**king hole right beside the other hole I kicked in the wall when Jones beat Shogun.

My wife makes me watch the fights out in the garage now.

lmao i love everthing about this. I know there is always pre fight hype with rashad but this isn't like the beef with rampage, you could really hear the emotion in his voice when he was talking about the history at jacksons.

i cant WAIT for this fight!

i dont think either are really successful at getting in the others head. time to step it up a notch, and dose them with lsd, and see who is in who..i originally thought rashad may have the edge on the mental game, but it dont appear that jones gives a rats ass what he is saying, and is truely ready for anything rashad brings, yes, rashad could flash in and rock him, possible finish , but just as easy as it would be for him to jump in , its easy for jones to take a step aside and counter, and if it goes to the ground, long limbs have the significant edge for elbows and subs. jones wins , unless he slips and gets caught.

They had to do something. Besides this fight, I wouldnt spend my money on that card. This is the ONLY fight on the card worth watching IMO.

Sorry Dana, unless you can make a better cards, your not getting my money this time.

is this ****y piece of shit for real? talking about the history of the camp he joined 3 years ago and claiming its his camp and he's the leader people look up to. get the **** outta here. Jones is so fake. Everything he says just sounds scripted and all the funky shit he does inside the ring he got from rashad...so unoriginal he even copied rashads fashion choices

I must agree,Jones is fake! Sadly I think of Evans is going to go in with all of that emotion and it will be his demise. I hope he checks that at the door.

this is only the first part of the interview not so fast. They both had there moments but it all matters what happens in the cage. Hopefully Rashad brings this fake kid back to earth.

Jones maybe one of the most highly skilled fighters in the UFC but he is also almost impossible to relate to, everything he says is just insincere bullsh!t. I respect Jones skill as a fighter and think he will win but I really dislike him as a man so i'm rooting for Suga...

These guys are just trying to create hype to sell the pay per view. Its good to promote a fight but this is just so stupid. I think Rashad is behaving like a school boy and Jones is just trying too hard to be coc*y. Never mind, still excited about this fight!

I get the impression that Evans' and Jones' IQs are not in the same weight class.

Jon Jones is not the saint he makes himself out to be. That said, he's shown how dedicated he is to the sport with the amount of improvements he's made. Should be a competitive fight.

Please Rashad, knock out Jones and then go backstage and knock out that traitor Greg Jackson.

He played you like a fool....

Greg Jackson showed his true colours when he said to jones to go get some fans after Machida lay unconscious

Greg Jackson is a snake...so full of himself
