Let's keep in mind that Chael isn't really picking a fight with Jones or Dos Santos, accomplished fighters who will most likely crush him; his statements fall in line with other outrageous prononoucements whose only purpose is to draw more attention to himself and remain as such under the spotlight...

Jones is talented , but he should be more humble and thankful to God for his given talent. Without them ,he would be a loser. Jones should look at Fedor to see how a Champion must act

I'm going to have to go with Jones. Simly because Chael's strength is wrestling and I don't think he can outwrestle Jones and if he can, Jones will simply use is 9-inch reach advantage by standing up and it's almost impossible for chael deal with Jones' striking.

Jones has good enough wrestling to keep it standing against Sonnen, risky enough submissions that Sonnen will not enjoy the clinch. Think of what Jones did to Machida and Bader or Maia did to Sonnen. And Jones' standup will completely destroy him. Sonnen has nothing at all to offer Jones in this fight. I think Jones would take an opportunity like this just to make a statement that no one should challenge him to fight.

I for one really really hope it happens, shut Sonnen up once and for all.

Personally I'd like to see Chael get GSP. He'll be a wrestler, he'll be bigger than his opponent, and it just won't matter. Either Jones or St Pierre would choke him out with his own imaginary MW belt.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion--but your opinion seems to be emotion-based only. You are right, Jon Jones has a body type which is advantageous in his weight-class--when coupled with skill--but so what? Do fans complain that a basketball player is successful because he is so tall? Or a linebacker because he is so big?



Any seasoned MMA fan knows that the 'weight-game' makes a lot of difference in MMA. There will always be fighters who manage to be successful against heavier opponents--like Frankie Edgar or BJ Penn--but I would say they are exceptions which prove the rule. Usually the champ in each weight division, is stretching to make weight on weigh in day. HW has such a wide margin, fighters are successful in the 240-250 range of weight, but in other weight classes, biggest is usually better--or believed to be better by the fighters themselves.



While Jones may have some off-putting character traits, none of his faults seem proportionate to the vituperation I read from some haters.



I celebrate the winners in MMA--past, present and future--not because they kissed a baby, or flipped off fans, or seemed friendly and down-to-earth--but because they excelled in the most demanding sport in the world.



I don't have to like a fighter to respect and acknowledge his accomplishments. Jon Jones has accomplshed great things this year against top quality competition--and that is beyond dispute--it is a palpable fact.

Wow, the only person Chael hasn't called out is Godzilla- or has he? He lives in the deep off the coast of Japan and I'm not sure if he can get texts or emails when he's under more than 50 meters. It would be a great match, but I don't think he could use his fire breath under current MMA rules. While Chael has great takedowns and ground and pound, I give Godzilla the edge because of his size advantage. Yeah, we walks around at 455 tons, but he uses diuretics to make weight pretty easily. Fingers crossed!

Yeah, Bones will have to migrate to HW because he's just too dominant a force in the LHW division. People will get bored after he defends his belt 20 times. He's got a long career ahead of him, so why not? He could easily put on 40 pounds over 3 years and still keep his speed.

I know talking trash is part of the MMA fight-selleing process, but Sonnen calling out JDS isn't trash talking- it's freaking insanity. The UFC would never allow it because Chael being killed on PPV would be the end of MMA, once the media and politicians spun it round and round. John Mccain would finally have what he needed to end what he calls "human **** fighting."
